The Interview process was conducted in online mode. There were a total of 6 panels. And each panel consisted of 2 faculty members of the college. It was not a stressful interview.

And may cover a wide range of topics, including the candidates, background, interests, and goals related to rural management.

Collegedunia Team: Mention at least 5 questions that were asked in the PGDM Interview and how you responded to each of them?

Jai Vardhan: The questions asked during the Interview are:

Ques 1. Tell us about yourself.

Ans. I kept the answer crisp and concise and used specific examples to illustrate my skills and experiences. It was important that I showed them enthusiasm for the program that I applied for and how I can contribute to the college development. I expressed my passion for the field and explained how many of my goals align with the institute’s mission.

Ques 2. Some general knowledge questions.

Ans. The panellist asked me some general knowledge questions that included new policies that were made by the government, the recent budget, capitals of the states of the country.

Ques 3. The panel showed interest in my theatre background and there was a healthy discussion.

Ans. I told them that I have 18 years of experience in the field of theatre and acting. The panel wanted to know about the place that I have done and a reason to leave Theatre and do MBA. I could align my reason for doing theatre and marketing strategies with confidence and ease. This helped me gain brownie points.

Ques 4. Why rural management?

Ans. I answered them by telling my passion for rural development. And also mentioned the career opportunities that are available in rural management, including roles in government, non-governmental organisations, private sector companies. I showcased my interest in a career in rural management as I want to make a positive impact on society, particularly in rural areas.

Ques 5. Any other converted colleges?

Ans. They wanted to know if I had converted to any other colleges other than IRMA college. I told them that I have converted none and convinced them about my decision of choosing the particular college.

Collegedunia Team: Mention any three reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Jai Vardhan: There are several reasons why I chose IRMA over other colleges that I converted to. The first reason is the reputation and experts on board at the Institute. IRMA is considered one of the premier colleges in India for rural management education. It has a reputation for providing high-quality education and has a strong faculty with expertise in various areas of rural management.

The second reason being, the Institute provides students with a lot of field-based learning opportunities which allows them to work directly with rural communities and organisations.

And, the third reason is the strong track record of placing students in a wide range of organisations. The Institute has a wide alumni network that provides students with opportunities and career guidance after graduation.
