Aarohi Nayyar converted IMI Delhi after securing 89%ile in the CAT 2021 Exam. She is a PGDM student. Aarohi has no previous work experience after completing her graduation from Mata Sundri College for Women, DU. She shared her IMI Delhi PGDM Admission experience with the Collegedunia Team, read below

Collegedunia Team: What was your CAT percentile? Did you avail reservation benefits for IMI Delhi Admission?

Aarohi: I had scored 89%ile in the CAT 2021 Examination. No, I am from the General Category so I availed the reservation benefits.

Collegedunia Team: Can you please describe your Pre MBA Academic Performance for Collegedunia readers?

Aarohi: Yes, I had scored 7.6 GPA in my 10 boards and had a decent score in 12 board exams, i.e 81%. Also, I had completed my graduation with 75.61%.

Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any).

Aarohi: The GD was conducted online. There were around 8 members in each group. Everyone got a chance to speak and the process was a little aggressive. 

Collegedunia Team: What was the WAT/GD Topic?

Aarohi: The topic was- Should Surrogate advertising be allowed or not? 

Collegedunia Team: What was your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively? 

Aarohi: I was against the topic.

I mostly focused on the point that advertising such products can give the impression to young minds that it is fine to consume such products and that it violates the right to information as no marketeer is going to advertise on the harmful effects these products have.  

Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Aarohi: There were 2-3 members in each panel who were the faculty of IMI, New Delhi. The mode of interview was online. The duration of the interview was 20 minutes each.

Collegedunia Team: Mention at least 5 questions that were asked in IMI Delhi Interview and how you responded to each of them?

Aarohi: The questions asked during the Interview are:

Ques1. Why do you want to pursue PGDM from IMI, New Delhi?

Ques2. Questions on economics like GDP, BOP?

Ques3. Questions on finance- Balance sheet, cash flow?

Ques4. Questions related to my internships- my roles and responsibilities, challenges? 

Ques5. What are the 4ps of marketing, difference between sales and marketing?

Collegedunia Team: Mention any three reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Aarohi: The three main reasons were:

  1. IMI, Delhi has a good placement record, 
  2. The Institute provides a rich experience and opportunities, 
  3. I personally like the marketing faculty at IMI so that was also a reason to join IMI, New Delhi over other colleges.
