The students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women have been recently announced as winners of the National Level Smart India Hackathon 2022 (Software Edition) under the theme of Transportation and Logistics with the cash prize of Rs.1,00,000/- (One Lakh) held at JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The team AV SQUARE consisted of B.Sangeerane, L. Siva Sankari, P.R.Shivani, M.Harini, .R.Krishnika, Ms.S.Priyanka of B.E- Computer Science and Engineering along with the Mentor Dr.D.Nithya, Assistant Professor/CSE. Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the problem we face in our daily lives and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset to solve problems. The event is organized by the Ministry of Education and AICTE. The students have developed a "TRANSPORTATION CARD" which replaces the ticket fare by a rechargeable card to make contactless traveling in the pandemic. The additional S-Bus application enhanCes the safety and security of the passengers.
