About Malda College
Malda College, Malda, which started in 1944, is a government-sponsored college and is NAAC accredited. At present, the college offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science streams for both Honours as well as General category. Apart from the UG courses, Malda college also offers PG courses in English, Bengali, and History since 2014.
Admission for both Honours as well as General courses for all the streams at UG level is done on the merit basis of marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent exam. Admission in PG courses for candidates belonging to the University of Gour Banga is done on the basis of merit, whereas, candidates from outside the university need to appear for an entrance examination.
