Dr. Sitangshu Khatua is currently working as the Professor in Finance Area at Heritage Business School, Kolkata. He is the Faculty Advisor of the Alumni Association of the Institute and he is also a member of the Board of Governors of Heritage Business School. He was previously associated with Jyotirmoy School of Business, Kolkata as Associate Dean and ICFAI Business School, Kolkata, XISS, Ranchi & NIT, Durgapur as Faculty Member.
He holds several degree such as FPM (Eqv. to PhD) in Finance, XLRI, from Jamshedpur, PGDM (Eqv. to MBA) in Finance from IBAT, KIIT Bhubaneswar, DBF (Diploma in Business Finance), CFA-Level I, from ICFAI, Hyderabad, Certificate Course in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in Oracle Financial from IBS, Kolkata, M.Tech in Solid Mechanics from B.E. College Shivpur, CU and 1992-94. BE in Civil Engineering, from NIT Durgapur.
Dr. Khatua has about 22 years of experience working both in the industry as well as in academics out of which 17 years in B-School teaching, corporate training, research and consulting. He has taught various courses such as Corporate Finance I & II or Financial Management I & II, Advanced Corporate Finance, Project Appraisal and Finance, Investment Science or Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, International Finance, Derivative & Risk Management.
