The education system in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. what are your views on it?

“Restructuring of the system is required in the Indian education system”

Indian education focuses more on theory rather than practical. The Indian education system doesn’t allow creativity. Whereas in foreign countries; they focus more on practical based learning. And they allow creativity in education.

  • The foreign education curriculum contains everything from arts to sports along with studies. The US has arts, sports, music, and theatre in the syllabus. Australia focuses more on sports; they have cricket, hockey, and boxing in their college curriculum. Whereas the Indian education system only emphasizes on studies. There is no room for extracurricular in our education system.
  • In Dubai, primary and secondary education is free, and it is made compulsory in law. Whereas in India, education is becoming a business. The privatization of education to tuitions and coaching institute education is generating good money. So business minds are now moving towards education.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practice of industry?

“The process of framing the curriculum starts with its design”

While designing the curriculum, the industries and academic institutions carefully choose the components to be included. Usually, Industry Representatives will participate in the Board of Studies meeting conducted by academic institutions. They will thoroughly scrutinize the Professional Core Courses. Wherever upgradation is required, the industry experts suggest the changes, which are then approved by the Governing Council.

“Diversity brings more learning”

Promoting equality and diversity in education is essential for both teachers and students. We make sure to follow bring into picture below aspects:

  • Challenging any negative attitudes.
  • Treating all staff and students fairly and equally.
  • Creating an all-inclusive culture for staff and students.
  • Avoiding stereotypes in examples and resources.
  • Using resources with multicultural themes.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“An essential turnaround would be to bring in transformation in every verticals”

Engineering education has gone through many decades of being one of the most sought after streams globally. "The philosophy of engineering" is a term used in western countries. By this term, we understand that engineering is a philosophy that should be conceptually taught by teachers and understood from an application standpoint.

In the future, an extensive remodelling of current thinking towards engineering education is necessary. It is also essential to integrate engineering education with sustainability. The future could also be looked at in breaking down the barriers of various engineering disciplines to move towards "streams." Streams can be looked at as specific areas that would confront humankind in the next couple of decades.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute/ university?

“Opportunities lie in the place of conversation and a genuine interest in the lives of those around us”

By forming a bond with a professor, students are more likely to access the informative, helpful guidance most teachers are willing to offer. Whether an individual is looking for direction in their professional life or even their personal life, a professor is a level-headed mentor who can help.

Students interested in understanding a subject, theory, or study in greater depth should contact their professor. Students should look to teachers to analyze and utilize their background knowledge, research experience, and other applicable merits. When a professor knows more about your interests and goals in life, they can tailor the information they give you or provide it from their research.
