What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
“Education forms the backbone of the society”
Education is a necessity, just like food, clothing, and shelter. Being associated with this field is the noblest form of giving back to society. I love that education keeps every generation connected to knowledge, from a young child to an experienced leader.
What is your philosophy of leadership?
“An effective leader is adaptable to the changes”
As the COO, you frequently have to make people's decisions. Hence, a leader has to be flexible and adaptable to changes in his/her leadership style as per the situation demanded. While managing a big institution, you need to make some tough calls while at the same time you need to trust your people that they will do their jobs and give them the freedom of thought and actions. However, if I still have to describe my leadership style, I think it would be democratic.
How do you strategize about the marketing and administration of your university?
“We promote out of the box thinking”
I believe in making the brand strong enough that it speaks for itself. Gujarat Law Society has always been the best trusted in education and has had its roots for nine long decades. It has already marked its presence in Gujarat and at the international level; GLS University is making its presence with numerous collaborations with famous universities in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Russia, and Dubai.
As far as the administration strategy is concerned, we encourage our people to speak their mind and think out of the box. We encourage strong bonding within them, which helps in their interpersonal relationships, keeps them in a vibrant and warm atmosphere at work, and churns out brilliant ideas and innovative thinking.
How does the curriculum of GLS University ensure the best practice of industry?
“We promote inclusive curriculum with practical learning”
GLS University does not lay impetus on the traditional bookish knowledge. Instead, it lays importance on an all-inclusive curriculum with practical assignments and real life experiences like moot courts and immersion programs that help our students deal with the professional world.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?
“It is essential to provide an ambient learning environment to the students”
As a part of Top management of GLS University, and especially as Chief Operating Officer, you have to make sure the University provides an environment to grow for both the students and its staff. An educational institute should be such that students love to be a part of it. Hence, I think our responsibility is to bring the best out of the students and that the staff also have a space to grow.
What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“We want to become an institute of prime excellence”
The University’s few short term goals over the next few years are expanding the International Collaborations and international reach for our students. Our focus is on introducing new courses, widening the scope of their interests, and giving them international recognition.
What do you see as GLS University’s greatest strengths?
“Our management and faculty forms the backbone of the institution”
GLS University’s greatest strengths are its management, faculties, and the desire to create something new. Furthermore, introducing a fresh perspective to its students, building a joy of learning environment and delivering consistently better results has always worked for the university is its biggest strength.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
“Work hard to achieve your dreams”
Based on my experiences, I would advise students never to stop dreaming and hustling hard for those dreams. Sooner or later, they would surely yield results. So never lose hope and keep hustling. This is the time you can take your goals to heights you can never imagine! And always be humble and kind.
What are some plans that you’re currently designing for GLS University?
“We have collaborations lined up in future”
We have already introduced the Advanced Diploma this year for our undergraduate students and plan to teach various other short term courses in collaboration with international universities. We are also planning to have direct access to online courses offered by foreign universities for our students, where they would also be given the course certificate. We are also collaborating with other universities abroad to introduce new courses and experiences for our students
