Hyderabad, June 22, 2019: ‘Dreaming involves holding tight to a vision of a better life, one of success and abundance. People who dream big are focused on those dreams. What you focus on, you get more of’ said Mr. M. Sri Bharat, President, GITAM Society. Mr. Bharat addressed the first year B.Tech students of GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad recently, as part of the Orientation Program. In the interactive session, he also invited questions from the students and warmly responded to their quarries.

Mr. Bharat spelled out eight fundamental tenets that he wanted all the students to keep in mind: Integrity, Humanity, Acceptance of Diversity, Collaboration, Service to the society, Ambitious and be a better citizen. He also advised the budding engineers that intention to do good things and practice the values well. He warned that if you don’t have the curiosity, you don’t learn and if you don’t adapt the chances you will be defunct. He advised the budding students that they should feel responsible for their future.

While answering a question, Mr. Bharat said that we need to understand the consequences of Dharma and we need to be smart enough what to do when there is a question arises between Dharma and Nyaya. He exhorted that keep making decisions and learns from the consequences, be a well-rounded individual. It is easy to question, but it is harder to solve a problem he responded to a quarry on politics. While narrating his life journey, Mr. Sri Bharat said that the opportunities do not knock at your door, but when it knocks you should open the door.

Earlier, Mr. Uday Kumar, President, AT&T interacted with the GITAMITES on ‘Career Opportunities; Skills Required’, Prof. K.Krishnaian, Dean, Academics Affairs, IIT Tirupati on ‘What is Engineering’ and Mr. Jignesh.T, GITAM Alumni on ‘Innovation & Entrepreneurship’. GITAM, Hyderabad Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Resident Director DVVSR Varma, School of Technology Vice-Principal Prof. M.Akkalakshmi, faculty, and B.Tech. I year students also participated in this program.
