Dr.S.Selvaraju specialises in Finance and Human Resource Management and has twelve years of Industrial experience and seventeen years of teaching experience. After under graduation in commerce from St.Joseph’s College, Trichy, he completed his Post-Graduation in commerce in University of Madras. He has also completed Post-graduation in business administration in University of Madras. He acquired his PhD in Management from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He has qualified National Eligibility test for Lectureship (Management) in 2012 and also State Eligible Test for Lectureship (Management) in 2012. He has cleared final examination of ICWAI and also intermediate examinations of Institute of Charted Accountants of India. He has published papers in Scopus Indexed and UGC listed journals. He has expertise in teaching Accountancy, Tax, Statistics, Finance and Operations Research.

What do you think are your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students in the Academics Department?

The role and responsibility of mine to the university is to bring it to one of the best world class universities. With respect to students, wherever they go in the world they must shine in their respective fields 

Being the Associate Dean of Faculty, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

As a Dean of faculty I make every faculty members to feel that they are the member of the SIMATS family. 

Being the Associate Dean of Faculty, how do you strategize about the key programs?

We would see from each programme whether the stakeholders are fulfilled with their respective expectations and leads to brand image of the university.

How does the Curriculam of the University ensure the best practice in the Industry?

After discussion with persons in industry, every year the syllabus of each course will be modified according to the industrial needs and new subjects will be introduced.

What do you think should be SSL’s top priority over the next 10 years?

Most of the leading lawyers, magistrates and judges (High courts and Supreme court) should be the gems of SSL.

What would you like people to know about your R&D department they may not know?

Research&Development is back bone of any industry which brings inventions and innovations.
