My primary aim is to improve the learning environment through pedagogy, methodological approach, scholarly activity, and service that advance the goals of the school. Every individual of the academic staff regardless of rank is held accountable at all times for carrying out their responsibilities and workload expectations in a competent manner. We foster collegial relationships with peers, superiors, students, and the campus community. Effective classroom instruction, academic counseling of students, involvement in departmental group assignments, ongoing curriculum development through evaluation, applied research or intellectual function, and facilities such as assisting in student recruitment. All these training programs aim to assist students succeed academically.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty in Bharat Technology, Uluberia?

“Impart positive criticism, participation, reliable assistance and successful communication on campus”

We follow several steps to develop a healthy teacher-student relationship. Some of these include successful communication, participation, positive criticism, and reliable assistance. Apart from that, we maintain a consistent application for students. 

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented?

“Focus on practical skills, research, workshops and other projects within the campus”

Most educational institutions concentrate on businesses and prepare their students to work in if they want to ensure that recent graduates thrives in the speedily world of digital media such as the web. An industry-focused curriculum that emphasizes both practical and academic skills contains several advantages. All students and teachers find this method to be enjoyable. Fun is a key component of motivation, according to research. Being industry-focused entails both following and participating in the industry. I'm fortunate to work for a school whose stated objectives are to focus on the industry. I work hard to incorporate it in all of my classrooms and take a number of actions to guarantee the industry focus. We engage knowledgeable professionals from the sector to conduct workshops for both students and teaching assistants in addition to staying abreast of contemporary trends or technology. By doing this, we gain new concepts, motivation, and insights into contemporary practices that apply in the classroom. Additionally, students collaborate on numerous projects with numerous different businesses. These assignments should be referred to as real world projects and various opportunities for the students to engage on assignments to handle as future professionals. We carry out our projects with an eye toward future commercialization.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

Several incentives are established by the institute for its employees and students. We provide awards in the form of souvenirs and certificates of appreciation. How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students?

“Schedule Planning Time, Reviews and Assessments to students”

What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from Bharat Technology, Uluberia?

Placement or Career Resource Centers in our campus serve as the mentors who help students become better prepared for their future. The operation of this department includes some of the biggest duties of the college. Pupils can acquire a complete understanding of the center by taking into account the information that is provided. They get career guidance in the form of workshops, full disclosure training, mock interviews, work experience and industrial visits placement both on and off campus. 

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?

“Evaluate Information Accuracy, Teach Tolerance and use learning beyond the Classroom on campus”

We guide our students through various tips in these decades. Our faculties teach Collaboration as a Value and Skill Set. We evaluate Information Accuracy, and teach tolerance to students that learn through their strengths. Our campus uses learning beyond the classroom and teaches students to use their Brain Owner's Manual. 

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of students or expose them to real-world challenges?

“Organize extracurricular activities, cultural awareness, and other opportunities for students”

Several extracurricular activities are available at campus including athletics, academic societies, and music. Through these activities, students get a chance to develop their sense of collaboration, individual or group commitment, physical stamina, endurance, competitive spirit, cultural awareness, and sense of belonging. A well-rounded education includes extracurricular activities that give students the chance to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. It serves as a means of reinforcing classroom lessons and true that involvement in extracurricular activities help students to succeed in college. Therefore, ensuring these opportunities are available to students from all backgrounds becomes a crucial equity problem.

What are the challenges you faced to uplift the quality of education of Bharat Technology, Uluberia?

“To improve the standard of instruction, education funding and curriculum creation are the main challenges faced by us”

We had to overcome the standard of instruction, not just in my debt but overall. Education funding, student-to-teacher ratio, qualified teachers, a healthy environment, curriculum creation, monitoring and assessment are other great challenges. Use of communication, information technology and motivation challenges are also faced by us. 

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

“To empower students with flexible viewpoints and creativity is my vision”

My goal is to empower students to make a difference in the workplace once they graduate.We assist students in recognizing and resolving the principal issues that civilization will face in the ensuing decades. Our campus supports individuals with flexible viewpoints and innovative solutions to the problems facing their generation. We inspire college students to pursue social justice, initiative, self-assurance, and creativity in all of their pursuits. Faculties encourage students' to access independent thought and individualism when preparing to make a difference in their chosen fields. We instill a spirit of invention among students and demonstrate to them. Use of the scientific method, investigation, intellectual inquiry can develop critical thinking that are useful in pursuits outside of school. Our campus fosters collaborations among students and business to get social power needed to find fulfilling work in their professions.

How does the curriculum of college ensure the best practice of the industry?

“Special training, industry electives, workshops, seminars and more are available to students”

In today’s educational system, participation of industries in curriculum design and delivery at Universities are very much essential to prepare the students for employment. It will bridge the gap between the industry and institutions that makes the students become industry ready. This will also reduce the time, effort and resources spent on the students in industries. Various models are available in this context. In the first model, the industry will design the course as per its requirement and deliver the same in the partnering institutes through their trainers. The students need to write the final examination and those qualified will be absorbed in those industries. In yet another model, the industry will select the candidates for employment and then provide tailor-made courses to those candidates through the faculty. Our institute has a general practice to involve industry people during their Board of Studies meetings and design the curriculum with their inputs. Accordingly, AICTE, New Delhi in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry conducted a survey of engineering Institutions in the country in 2012, with assistance from Pricewater Coopers Pvt. Ltd. The findings have been very encouraging, with more than 63 % of the Institutions having different levels of interaction with industries. Curriculum Design is the process of framing the curriculum starting with its design. Industries contribute in deciding the courses to be offered in Professional Core and in Electives. Well known industries design their own courses as per their needs and offer them as electives to higher semester students. Students who opt for those electives will undergo training and qualify in the examination. Some industries have developed Video-Instruction Led Tutors also by involving their subject matter experts. Faculties need to develop Course Slides, Facilitator Guides, Student Exercises, Case Studies and Lesson Plans. Some industries also develop Student Project Banks where the registered students can deposit artifacts related to their projects. Our campus also provides Workshops, Peer Enablement Programmes, Seminars, Newsletter, On-line Faculty Community and Networking Forum. 

How does the college enhance the skills of the faculty and prepares them according to the industry standards?

“Faculty Enablement Programmes, Technical Events, Research papers and more are available to faculties”

Curriculum delivery is not a one-time process and the revised curriculum cycle continues. It requires a lot of motivation from faculty and students. In this regard, industries come up with a lot of motivational programmes for the benefit of faculty and students. Industries used to recognize best performing faculty and students in various aspects. Faculty Enablement Programmes are conducted by industries to update and refresh the knowledge gained through TTT workshops. By undergoing these programmes, faculty will keep in touch with the latest trends in their field benefit for students. Conclaves industries in association with academic institutions conduct various Research Conclaves. Research Scholars & PG students will get an opportunity to present their own research initiatives in the form of ideas, papers, proposals and products. We organize Roadshows in Technical Campuses to exhibit their features and orient students / faculty towards industry practices. Industries encourage Students / Faculty to visit their Development Premises. These Industrial visits give real time exposure to students as well as faculty. It helps the faculty to engage their classes lively by citing various real-life examples. Programming Contests industries organize various programming contests in emerging platforms to both faculty and students in a wide manner. Students and faculty from all over the country can participate in these Contests. Industries allow faculty to undergo sabbaticals in their development centers for a period of 4 – 6 weeks. During sabbaticals, faculty will be assigned with some real time projects and develop those projects by getting assistance from industry experts. It gives more depth to their practice and shared with students will get real time exposure. Participating faculty members will receive remuneration for their contribution to the project. Faculties enhance their knowledge by attending these events.

What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train the students?

“Monitor progress regularly within the students, provide updates and evaluate their performances”

Some Interventions and approaches taken by me apart from curriculum to train students and habituate with industrial environments. We identify the pupils who have the curiosity to work in the industries in future. Faculties establish the pupil’s needs and develop industry-based knowledge education. We conduct a thorough planning process and collect updated information from the regulatory authorities. Students get training in the team to acquire knowledge about the industrial environments and about different departments in pharmaceutical industries. Choose the right action to implement true knowledge about the work culture and give effective feedback or healthy communication. Our campus monitors progress regularly within the students, providing some new updates related to formulation and analytical research. We evaluate success to bring a linearity in industry academics work culture. 

What do you see as Bharat Technology, Uluberia greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

“Qualified faculties, sessions, hands on activities, and research papers are our greatest strengths”

Our greatest strength is our Modern Lab equipment which allows students to practice different experiments that strengthen their practical knowledge and push them to perform better. We are glad to inform you that our Lab is equipped with modern instruments like automatic Tablet punching machine, Dissolution apparatus, Flame spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fluorometer, ATR etc to give the students complete knowledge about the manufacturing of Medicine and quality testing. Some of our strengths are evening sessions, hands-on activities, and research papers. We are letting students utilize life experiences for their coursework.Hands on experience with all modern equipment and instruments along with cooperative learning approach. Developing creativity through exploration research, notebooks, and hands-on are available to students. The knowledge of the subject teacher and their ability to explain concepts. Our experience in the lab or field along with healthy relationships are developed with students. Implementing technology to help track student progress and learning. Our department faculties enjoy teaching and want students to feel comfortable in the classroom. We try to get to know each of our students and know something about them or their families by creating a mentor mentee meeting. Students get hands-on activities, communications, and diversity in assignments. Use practical applications to demonstrate the usefulness of contents. We provide powerpoint outlines with highlighted important concepts and clearing case studies associated with industries. We have an excellent library of training material for in class and online. Our coursework and tests are available exclusively online to complete at any time day or night.
