Prof. (Dr.) Mohanan M. has been working as the Principal and Hospital Superintendent at Major S.D. Singh Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has been in the field of Ayurveda for more than 15 Years and done B.A.M.S and M.D. as part of his academics. He has an incredible 11 years of teaching experience and 4 years of exposure with Ayurveda. He has attended several National and International conferences, workshops and has also successfully organized multiple seminars, workshops and training programs. He is working hard to improve the quality of training and implementing NAAC guidelines in the college. He is a very punctual person with a creative mind and has a supportive nature for all.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

"The happiness of seeing my students becoming successful have kept me associated"

I started my career in the education sector in 1997 when I realized the importance of education for Hospitality as there was no college for AMCH in Farrukhabad region. Then came the time and I established this college in 2003 and started offering BAMS and Pharmacy courses to students from 2012. And polytechnic courses were added to the curriculum in 2014. It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction when I see my students getting employed in reputed organizations and generating employment for others as well, and this I believe is the best reason of my connectedness with the education sector for so long.

Being the Principal and Hospital Superintendent of Major S.D. Singh AMCH, what is your philosophy of leadership? 

"I believe collaboration increases the team's efficiency and hence I use same concept in college also"

I treat our faculties as my family members and I strongly in a participative and collaborative way of working because you only grow when you allow others to grow. Hence I take all major decisions of college after rigorous consultation with faculty members and students. 

How do you strategize the key programmes for the marketing and administration of your college?

"We stay connected with our students through social media handles and promote college events via ads and campaigns"

We have a very fast and technologically advanced website and social media accounts through which we stay connected with our present students and give a platform to our future students to connect with us. In addition to this, we run SMS campaigns, newspaper advertisements, Google ads, banners and posters to promote our college events, activities and new happenings google ads. 

In your experience, what benefits students can gain from studying here in your institute?

"Students will get best learning ambiance and diverse culture here to grow personally and professionally"

We keep updating our curriculum as per government standards and industrial development and requirements by introducing new activities and courses which can further help students to become great future leaders and professionals. How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practices of industry?

"If consist of finest quality courses, customized training programs and industrial exposure"

Our college offers the best courses, training programs and learning windows to students. And the curriculum does have customized programs too to support the academic requirements of individual students too. Our faculties work really hard to impart knowledge of Ayurveda to our students with a Scientific approach and our main objective is regular upgradation of knowledge and skills of our students and faculty. Hence guest lectures, industry-interaction sessions with experts in the field of Ayurveda and other sciences are constantly organized by us to give a broader view to their thoughts.

I would advise my dear students and young minds of our society to stay dedicated and focused towards their goals because you can transform your every single dream with your hardwork and dedication. Our college’s prime focus is to provide the finest quality education to all students who join us to pursue different courses and in order to enhance the teaching-learning practices, suggestions from students, teachers and parents are regularly taken by the management of our institute. 

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

"We should work towards enhancing our presence among students by upgrading our courses"

As we aspire to enhance our presence among the younger generation of our country, hence we are planning to start a hospital to serve the public of Farrukhabad. And in the subsequent years, we will also start Nursing and other Medical courses for students.
