Will you be my Friend - Mentor-Mentee Program at GCEC
Date: April 2, 2022
Have you ever felt a friend in your teachers, whether at school, your hobby classes, coaching, or your college? At some point in time, we need to see a teacher as a friend with whom we can confide in our fears, but is it possible? GCEC is open up to the teachers without the fear of judgment or criticism. This is where the article breaks your mindset and will set you thinking.
Wouldn’t you want a safe place to let out your worst fears? You would want someone to understand that you are getting a panic attack, you would want someone to hug you when you cry, and that someone needs to be a teacher. This is where the mentors of GCEC come in! The mentors here at GCEC are friendly and supportive, apart from studies you can approach them at any point in time and tell them what is bothering you! Doesn’t matter if you cry in front of them, they will console you and help you out. If you want them to take a stand for you, they will. I have encountered several incidents where I find myself going to my mentor and crying out in front of him. And the best part is they always console me in the best way possible.
You will not find yourself putting filters while talking to them, you will just tell them everything because they will make you feel safe in the best way possible. The key to this is assurance and trust which is built slowly but the day it is built it will be like there will be no barriers between you and your mentors.
At Global Centre for Entrepreneurship and Commerce, the students are provided with a mentor-mentee program, where each student is allotted a mentor and by a mentor, it doesn’t mean something related to your study, it means a mentor to whom you can go and share stuff that is troubling you inside related to any topic. With their experience, they will guide you towards the right path, and the main thing, your said things will be kept confidential. And today one needs to be able to see a friend in their Mentor, and thereby GCEC asks you “Will you be my friend?”
Ready for some Colors - Holi Celebration
Date: April 2, 2022
Holi is the festival of colors. One should more and more celebrate and praise one’s life. The festivals are the best time for the celebrations. Holi is also one of such festivals. No one can deny the fact that there is a link between colors and emotions. Colors are everywhere in the world of the living. The presence of color can be easily seen in any small as well as big thing. It can be found while gazing out the window at a patch of green for a few minutes or wearing something bright on a rainy day. Colors influence everyone.
Holi is considered one of the most significant Hindu festivals. It is well known as the ‘festival of colors. The festival of Holi signifies the triumph of good over evil. It is a day of forgiveness, friendliness, oneness, equality, and making peace with everyone around people. The Holi celebrations start on the evening of the Purnima usually in the month of March. This is the Spring season festival.
Global Centre of Entrepreneurship and Commerce (GCEC) believes that Holi is not just playing with colors but it’s about bringing colors into people’s life. The members of the GECE celebrated Holi in their own way to bring colors to their life by wearing the traditional dress code for Holi festivities “ethnic”. Festive décor doesn’t have to mean expensive. A Holi mood during the celebration of the Holi festival was highlighted with a display of gulal in cutting chai glasses at the entryway. The bunches of colorful fresh flowers were also present along with gulal. The day is to forgive and forget, and to try to end the conflicts. There can not be a better day to make peace amongst batchmates and people than the day of Holi. It was easier with the ramp, dance, and fun little games.
The Holi celebration of GCEC ended with the heartening words of their founder, CEO Paresh Gupta. He said that “May the canvas of your life be filled with colors of love, happiness, prosperity, and good health. Forget your haters and ill-wishers and remember those who are near and dear to you with splashing colors.” This year destroy the inner rage, the green-eyed monster and try being a rainbow in someone’s life.

Date: April 2, 2022
Global Centre for Entrepreneurship and Commerce, a private college which is affiliated with Vivekananda Global University and situated in Jaipur, is India's first dedicated college for Entrepreneurship and Commerce studies. As part of its co-curricular activities, the Photography club (which is also known as Anokhi Aankhein) of GCEC recently organized a trekking trip to "Bhuteshwar Mahadev Trek" which is located in Aravali near Jaipur. Generally asking, why are photos special? Because you capture a moment and can live it forever and when you can't express a place/person in words, photos do all the work.
GCEC’s club organized a trip to a famous trek in Jaipur “Bhuteshwar Mahadev Trek”, located in Aravali near Jaipur. Bhuteshwar Nath Mahadev Temple is one of the most ancient temples in Jaipur. The route to this temple features green trails across the Aravali ranges making it one of the most beautiful and pleasurable treks in Jaipur. A trek that is worth remembering, the group gathered together at the Nahargarh Biological Park at 5:30 AM on March 13th, 2022. After 4-5 km of riding from a slushy climb along a village trek, the group reached the starting point of the trek called “Mahadev Mandir” where the group expanded to a number of 25-30 students, the sky was clear and the mood was upbeat as we begin the trek.
The trek was a moderate climb of 5 km and the weather got better as the day progressed. With music, conversations, and a little karaoke the group reached the destination of this well-known trek. It was all beautiful, mountains everywhere. It was a great experience to arrive in time to witness a glorious sunrise and experience the stunning morning views of the surrounding.

GCEC strongly believes that every pleasant moment, success and achievement should be celebrated with full enthusiasm and energy, no matter how big or small it is. Keeping this in mind, GCEC has started the amazing trend of cherishing its students' success at the start of every month starting from March 4, 2022.
The celebration started with the students gathering in Elites which was organized by the Student Council to celebrate the success of three champions namely, Vishnu Kant Bhadauria (for his selection at the University of London for higher studies), Puru Thakkar (who collected funding of INR 25 lacs for his start-up - NYUS) and Abhinav Agarwal (who had been featured in Red FM, Jaipur for his start-up - MittiHub).

61 Shades of Pink - Women's Day Celebration
Date: April 2, 2022
International Women’s Day is a global day for celebrating the economic, social, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day focuses on gender equality, woman’s rights movements, the violence and abuse against women. This day basically calls to action for accelerating gender parity. On February 28, 1909, the first international Woman’s Day was celebrated. According to the statement of the United Nations, it was designated by the Socialist Party of America to honor women in the garment industry who went on strike in New York to protest working conditions. International Women’s Day was officially recognized by the UN in 1975. WOMEN are the symbol of strength and courage. Women play a vital role in each and every Man’s life. Just like the Queen play important role in the whole game of Chess.
Global Centre for Entrepreneurship and Commerce which is popularly known as the GCEC believes that feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It’s totally about changing the way the world perceives that strength. With its spirit of Women’s Day, On 8th March 2022, GCEC organized this beautiful event of “61 Shades of Pink”. According to the GECE, every woman has a different shade of pink. They have totally different personalities. GCEC is not following the stereotype “pink is for girls”. According to the GCEC, Pink is the color of universal love of oneself and for others with a strong nurturing side. The event was organized for all women present in the GCEC institute whether they are mentors or helpers.
The Happiness club of the Student council of the GCEC welcomed everyone at the function of Woman’s Day with open arms. Everything present at the Woman’s Day Celebration was as pretty as a picture. The event of International Women’s Day was inaugurated by our Principal of the GCEC, Dr. Shivi Saxena. She said in her starting speech of Women’s Day that ”Girls with dreams become women with visions. Don’t stop doing the right action out of inner fear. You deserve to get all the things you have ever wished for in your life. Rise and shine, this is our moment.” Celebrating Women’s Day just for a day doesn’t make sense. It should be celebrated today, tomorrow, and every day.
