What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Imparting education with excellent teaching pedagogy”

My prime responsibility towards students is to disseminate and impart basic or applied knowledge and assist them with the best learning process. Educating is not mere about teaching them course syllabus or book philosophies, but to make them correctly apply that knowledge for the benefit of humanity. I always try to develop a progressive and democratic environment in the classroom where students learn and enhance their skills to the fullest. 

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects in your institute?

“Strong industry prospects and practical trainings”

Providing students hands-on experience, field visits to different organizations and internships are at the core of training and learning in our Institute. Besides this, the availability of good infrastructure and required practical tools help students achieve unsurpassed efficiency and confidence. How do you help your students to cope in a highly competitive scenario?

“Acquaint to the professional environment and widening personal skills”

In ITM, we provide what is best for our students considering the latest developments in the practical world. We conduct and organize many workshops, industry educational trips and internship programs in various local and national organizations to provide hands on training and professional experience to our students. For higher education, apart from theoretical knowledge, we encourage teamwork, develop critical thinking skills and prepare them for future-focused careers. We encourage social and emotional learning; team based projects and increase their motivation for increased opportunities in careers and personal lives.

How the curriculum of your department ensures best practice of the industry? 

“Following skill development and latest job trends”

Our department supports professional learning. We provide hands-on training to make students develop required skills and practical knowledge. We offer regular field visits in various media organisations; provide them internships to learn the professional environment. We take job trends into consideration. We make courses that offer basic technical know- how mandatory is a step further in helping students improve their skills through curriculum planning and development. We re-evaluate our goals and develop learning targets and common formative assessments.

How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?

“Clear perspectives with students and faculty”

Academic relations are built upon academic competencies, academic curiosity and consistent peer review in terms of publications and holistic learning environment. With students I believe in being objective as this helps establish a positive relationship and unbiased approaches for solving problems. I have a strict approach when implementation of rules and regulations, time management and discipline is concerned. But when it comes to guiding and problem solving, I always try to be compassionate and help students with my every possible capacity.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Strive for satisfaction in your life, that’s most important”

When your inner interest is satisfied and worked upon, you will be content and you will be working harder towards your goals. Rather than making your job or profession an interest of your life, make your interest a career advice for yourself. Nobody is tailor-made for a particular thing, and nobody is fit enough for everything that comes their way either. Rather than giving up or feeling bad about something you could not do well, just be easy on yourself and know that a few weaknesses are just an important ingredient for any successful human.
