Sumit’s expertise is a blend of hotel Industry and Academics. 14 years’ experience in India and abroad has given a great exposure of the hotel Industry as his first diploma is in Hotel Management. Prior to ESA he has been associated with big brands Like Gati, BlackBerry. He passionately believes that the Education is all about Credibility and ensures that ESA delivers the credibility in all it acts of student’s interaction, teaching, training, workshop, placement, parent’s expectations, and industry’s expectations and above all deliver the social reasonability of creating the Employment . The thought was to do something better then what the colleges are providing, more student oriented rather than revenue generation.


The pandemic has caused major distress in all the verticals which has majorly affected the economy worldwide

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has presented an unprecedented shock to the global economy. Never have economies around the world shut down completely. In this manner, everything halted by enforced lockdown and social distancing restrictions. As we know where there is a will, there's a way. So, we thought not to press the pause button, but we should find alternative ways of educating and engaging, which took shape with the launch of our LMS. This step brought in a major transformation, and people were more receptive, and the responses from both parents and students were much better than earlier. With this New Normal Approach in higher education, our mixed focus will be there on LMS and in-person classes. 


The admission rates have dipped but we were able to cope up with the admission rates of last year

As compared to last year, there has been a definite dip in the numbers because of the lockdown. The 12th students exams are yet to be finished. With the launch of our LMS, we were able to match the pace of the admissions as compared to last year. With the market now opening up, we see a substantial growth in the receptiveness of the people. Due to Covid 19, the year’s peak admission time has shifted to June – September/October. 


The online system has brought in major transformation in the way of delivering education 

During the lockdown, ESA was the first Hotel Management College in India to start its Learning Management System, and we launched our online classes as early as possible.With this facility available to us, we have students sitting at their respective homes across India and getting the Institutional training online with live faculties. Also, the slides prepared are interactive and student centric. Also, the online pedagogy monitors that students are attending exams and undergoing assignments. This function has brought in a lot of traction.

We make sure our students undergo internships and help them bag attractive offers

ESA is the only state of art hotel management institute which provides paid Internship facility to all the students be it Domestic or international. During the internship the students get handsomely paid stipend and are exposed to the real situations in the industry which are otherwise just been taught to them in the other colleges thus yielding no functional benefit.


We are a benchmark institute known for internships and placements

ESA is known for its internships and 100% placement. In the industry while the other colleges only provide placement assistance and only a few bag up the placement with the CTC being the minimum wages, ESA provides a 100% placement guarantee and our students are picked up at a general CTC of higher than the other colleges. Our average packages in India per student goes on to a CTC of Rs. 2,00,000/- inclusive of food and stay for the students which is not common as the Hotel industry starts the pay slabs from Rs. 1,02,000 which complies to minimum wages. Also, last year, in 2019, we had the domestic Annual package going up to Rs. 2, 50,000 /-raising up to 14, 20,000/ internationally (Singapore Placement –Surender Mohan) 


The right steps towards making the dream come true of the students is a bliss

Being the MD, my philosophy is to take the correct step towards building the dream (Earning + International Placement + Entrepreneurship) of our youth. I feel that each and every student of ESA is the Brand Ambassador and they will take Brand ESA to every corner of the word . That’s why our motto is to emphasize more on ABCD (Attitude Belief Confidence Dedication) of each and every student. If we are able to take care of our Brand Ambassadors well then I am sure they will take care of ESA. I want ESA to be known for its style and standard in terms of the teaching methods, internship and placement, and because of this we get students from Extreme parts of India like Kashmir to North east followed by South India and even from seven different locations of Nepal.
