Dr. Indrajeet Singhvi is the Vice Chancellor of Sai Tirupati University, Udiapur. Dr. Singhvi began his career as Production Officer, Cipla Ltd., Mumbai and worked there for two years. Then he worked as Research Associate in Ranbaxy Lab Ltd., at Dewas. Dr. Singhvi changed his profile when he joined B.N. College of Pharmacy as Lecturer, Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He has published more than 225 research papers in his tenure. In his interview he explains the leadership qualities a person must possess to be an effective leader. A leader is responsible to put efforts and grow the organization wherever he is involved in. He describes the importance of imparting practical training, which helps students to get an exposure to the industry norms. The institute makes sure every student becomes knowledgeable and is not deprived of education. The aim is to brand the university as a research based university with an ambient environment to support bright minds. On a concluding note he advises the youth to possess patience to let the fruits reap and get better results 

If you are a leader, do everything you can to grow yourself and create the right atmosphere and environment for others

A good leader shall make all his efforts to grow himself through growth of the establishment with which he is working. He should provide opportunities to his subordinates to grow and share responsibilities for holistic development of organization. Each and every idea generated through brain storming of staff members shall be explored and best be implemented .I believe that there is no shortcut to any problem, always take each and every problem as an opportunity for improvement. Learn from the past, keep pace with the changing world and try to adopt positive changes for betterment of society .One shall always try to acquire knowledge through various means viz. reading books, seminars, webinars and conferences, electronic media, panel decisions etc. which shall be converted to art by practicing and implementing the acquired knowledge within the framework of available resources.

Imparting practical training in the field of specialization is an integral part of learning

Our University is imparting Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy education. All Courses being run by the University are approved by concerned regulatory bodies including MCI, INC and PCI. Imparting practical training in the field of specialization is an integral part of learning. A 750 bedded multispeciality hospital is running in the campus of the University hence, all facilities for practical training/internship of students for all courses are available in-house. From the first year of admission onwards basic fundamental practical training is imparted followed by full time internship in the last semester/year of study which is mandatory for each student so as to make the student employable immediately on completion of course.

We make sure every student becomes knowledgeable and is not deprived of education

Admissions in Courses run by the University are granted irrespective of any race or background. Students from all parts of India are studying at University. For economically backward students scholarships from the Social welfare Department and under the PMSSS scheme are available and can be availed by eligible candidates. University on its own is also providing scholarship to meritorious, economically backward students and to wards of its employees.

Healthy environment creates a progressive atmosphere for the students to prosper

Healthy relation and environment at the University is maintained through mutual dialogue with all teaching and non-teaching staff members. Efficient workers are provided incentives and are upgraded. University offices are open for all employees for discussions and problems are solved with minimum lag time. System has been channelized with power distribution as per the post of employee. Routine discussion of authorities with students is scheduled every month, wherein all problems and queries of students are addressed properly.

First aim is to procure NAAC A+ grade as and when University becomes eligible for accreditation. As on date University is imparting medical and allied education. The sphere of disciplines imparting higher education has to be expanded in a phase wise manner. I aim to brand this University as a research based University with an environment of inculcated research in each and every student and employee of the University.

It is pivotal to match the pace of the drastic changes in industrial sector

I think teaching pedagogy is undergoing drastic changes and will continue in forthcoming years. We need to be in pace with the needs of today’s youth so as to make him internationally employable by imparting practical knowledge along with theoretical fundamentals.

Our infrastructure and the people associated with the university are greatest source strength of the university

One of the greatest strengths of Sai Tirupati University is its infrastructural and equipment facilities. In addition each unit of University has faculty: student ratio much better than expected as per regulatory bodies’ norms. Further proper residential facilities for staff and students are on campus available.

Youth must possess patience to let the fruits reap and get better results 

Youth of today is in a hurry and desire results quickly, which practically is not possible .Each reward takes time and one should not follow shortcuts to achieve goals .Have patience, a cool piece of mind and try to give 100% of your efforts, results are bound to come.
