What are your roles and responsibilities?

“To provide best education, guidance and motivation to our students”

I ensure to have enough time to interact with students with a vision of a healthy association and collaboration with them. Thus, as an assistant professor of an outstanding educational institute, I am responsible for cultivating a culture of purpose, motivation and strength for future generations to come. I use business simulations, case studies, live projects, and other pedagogical practices to make sure our students are well prepared to become industry managers and leaders.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

“By ensuring an open and friendly communicative environment”

I do follow a very simple policy of open-door policy. Anyone can come to me and speak openly about their issues and suggestions. Because we all know that, to build a good relationship with anyone, we should first of all be a good listener. Coming to fellow faculty, I ensure to have a very friendly environment where we can trust each other and open up about our queries be it personal or professional.

How do you bring in a practical and industry-oriented approach towards subjects?

“Analysis based projects and assignments are conducted for them”

In order to ensure a practical-oriented approach towards subjects, I give presentation-based assignments and research projects to our students and they have to present the same in the class so that they can improve their communication skills, presentation skills and enhance their practical knowledge. Also, I tell them to stay updated about what is happening in the industry and encourage them to put their ideas in the classroom and then we have a full-fledged discussion on that topic. I also conduct various activities such as role-plays, group discussions in and out of the classroom. As they come in the second year they are exposed to all the four functions (finance, HR, marketing and production) that are happening in the industry.

What are your views on the placement from your department?

“We do have a devoted faculty to bring good placement opportunities for students”

To ensure decent placements statistics and train our students to crack interviews, we have a dedicated faculty. She continuously keeps herself updated with the latest vacancies in the industry for HR, marketing, finance or any back-office administration work. 

What extra-curricular activities are organized in college to enhance the skills of the students?

“Instead of us, students do organize various activities in college and that’s how they learn”

In my perspective, the most important thing that BBA students need to learn is management, so we give them free reign and always allow them to organize all programs and activities for the college. They arrange various cultural celebrations like Diwali and Holi, sports activities and to organize these activities we have given them full freedom to plan things and manage the budget as per our capacity. They also organize women's competitions, group discussions.

Any advice you would like to give the students for their career ahead?

“Work hard and utilize your time effectively”

In my opinion, today’s generation already knows that personality development, communication skills, and leadership qualities are important to have a successful career, only thing they are lacking as of now is time management. Thus the only important thing that I want to advise my students will be to manage the time and do everything on time so they can achieve all goals they have decided for themselves.
