"Covid has impacted the education sector to a great extent but availability of online learning platforms has made things easy for students"

There is no doubt that the Covid pandemic has impacted the education sector to a great extent and learning has deteriorated as classroom teaching was not possible at all due to fear of virus spread and lockdown. But I would also say that in this difficult time, Information and Communication Technologies have proved to be a lifesaver for students and teachers and the online education system has evolved at an exponential rate. It was the online classes and internet facilities who have ensured the continuation of education during Covid. And as a University, we have established a highly sophisticated and advanced system of online classes so as to ensure that in any unprecedented situation, our students' education should not be impacted again. Last but not the least, we have taken industrial subscription of online video classes and have trained our teaching faculties with all the required skills.

What challenges have you faced in uplifting the education quality of your University?

"Designing an industry driven curriculum and unavailability of highly qualified teachers is a real challenge for us"

The most critical challenge for us currently is to establish an excellent academic curriculum in accordance with ever changing requirements and trends of the industrial world. Apart from this, making sure our course seats get filled and we receive a good number of students to teach every year is also a difficult task for us as we firmly believe that bright students are pillars for an institution's growth. Last but not the least, we are struggling to get highly qualified and extensively experienced teaching and non-teaching staff.

How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your university?

For the purpose of ensuring a cordial relations and environment in my University, I regularly interact with my fellow Faculties, non-teaching staff and students. And we are committed to achieve the mission and vision of our college, so our educational practices and standards are aligned in accordance with that and the establishment of a value education system has also helped us to ensure smooth working of the institution.

Any valuable suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and ambitious students?

"Don't waste your precious time in doing unnecessary things and make best use of it"

As Swami Vivekananda truly said that youths are highly energetic but directionless and to ensure their all round development; they should be given proper guidance on time and their energy should be channelized in the right direction. Hence I would suggest to my dear students and ambitious youths of our society to value their precious time, make best use of it and keep upgrading their knowledge on a regular basis.
