Dr. Sameer Narayan Goyal : Ranked in the top 2% in the list of world scientists for the third time

Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal’s Institute of Pharmacy, Dhule, Maharashtra Principal Dr. Sameer Narayan Goyal has been ranked in the top 2 percent in the World Scientist List for the third time in a row for research in the field of Pharmacology. 

In this regard, according to the list announced by Stanford University, United Nations, America and Elsevier on October 10, the Principal of SVKM’s Institute of Pharmacy, Dhule, has been included in the list of the best 2% of researchers out of a total of more than one million researchers in the world. Dr. Sameer Goyal has received this award for his research and valuable contribution in the field of Pharmacology. AD Scientific Index (Alper-Dozer Scientific Index), unlike other systems that provide evaluation of journals and universities, is a ranking and analysis system based on the added value of scientific performance and scientific productivity of individual scientists. Furthermore, it provides a ranking of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of the affiliated scientists.

Talking about his academic excellence, Dr. Goyal got first rank with distinction in D. Pharm. and got gold medal for B. Pharm. from North Maharashtra University. Also, he ranked first in M. Pharm. from Nagpur University and he has done Ph.D. on Diabetes and Heart Stroke from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi. In his 15-year career, he has published more than a hundred research papers globally. 90% of these articles are listed in Scopus. He has an H index of 32 and an I'10 index of 73 according to Google Scholar, which is considered very excellent in terms of research.

He has so far received more than 1.2 crore grants from national and international organizations for research in his career. He has so far guided three students for their research. Originally a resident of Shirpur, Dr. Goyal, for the last five years, has been holding the position of Principal at SVKM’s Institute of Pharmacy, Dhule. Various programs were held on the occasion of Chairman of the Institute and former Minister Shri. Amrishbhai Patel's birthday as a result of distinct collaboration of SVKM’s Institute of Pharmacy, Institute of Technology, SVKM’s School and NMIMS School of Commerce, SVKM’s Dhule Campus.

Sports Festival-2022 was organized on 13.09.2022 for all teaching and non-teaching staff in Dhule Campus to celebrate the birthday of Chairman of the Institute and former Minister Shri. Amrishbhai Patel, and to cultivate sports culture. Also, a grand blood donation camp was organized on 14 September 2022 to foster social commitment. The lamp was lit in the presence of chief guest of grand blood donation camp Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Chairman of Dhule Campus Development Committee, and other guests namely Principal, SVKM’s Institute of Pharmacy Dhule, Dr. Sameer Goyal, Principal, SVKM’s Institute of Technology, Dr. Nilesh Salunke Principal CBSE School Sunanda Menon, Head of Department of School of Commerce, C.A. Kunal Pasari. On the occasion of this grand blood donation camp, 210 teachers, students, parents and willing blood donors voluntarily participated and donated blood with the noble intention of cultivating and promoting social responsibility. S.V.K.M. Institute of Pharmacy (D.Pharmacy) College again awarded “Very Good” category by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education

Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal’ Institute of Pharmacy, Dhule (D.Pharm.) has received “Very Good” grade in Academic Evaluation Inspection Report from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education for the academic year 2021-22 once again.

Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education conducts academic quality assessment of affiliated colleges through External Academic Monitoring Committee for every academic year. Under it, the educational, examination, strategic, infrastructure facilities and various student-centric activities implemented by the college are categorized as 'Excellent, Very Good, Good, Satisfactory'. For this achievement, Principal of the college, Dr. Sameer Goyal guided Prof. Chetan Sonawane, Head of the Department and all the professors.
