Global Young Leader Facilitator, Represented India at the United Nations Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development. Attended workshops on Sustainable Development organized by Sweden at the UN and was also a discussant at the World Ocean Conference organized by UN DESA Keeping the Momentum for Ocean Action in 2020. In addition, a member of the Scientific Council at Fatima Al-Fihri Open University in Estonia, A Youth Advocate for Climate Action, and a UN Volunteer teaching in rural India online and promoting education through the organization eVidyaloka. I am currently working as an Assistant Professor, Ph.D. in Sustainable Development.
How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?
Being an Economics teacher, I know that the Human development index is more important than the GDP when it comes to making people feel lively and happy. For students, motivation is passé, so I create value for them and tell them how important they are to the world.
How do you try to bring in practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented?
For me knowing about your surroundings is any day more important than getting a degree, my teaching pedagogy is more of an action Lab, I teach them beyond the books so that students have different verticals of the topic. I Believe Knowledge is not gained from slideshows and or whiteboards , it is the passion, inquiries, and discourse, a set of these unique values that guarantee the success of this world. The moment students get this combination they are corporate-ready.
What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?
Our Focus is on development activities at Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School such as Career Enhancement Program, Internship Programs from the first semester, Experiential Learning through Real Time Projects, etc., organized in collaboration with a world-renowned Ed-tech brand Capsource.
How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students?
We at Dr. D. Y. Patil Business School are always keen to provide students with the latest knowledge and skills for their personal, social, and professional growth. We Conduct Board of Studies meetings every six months that are composed of both industry experts and faculty members from different fields.

What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from your department or How does your department prepare students for Higher education?
Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School sets itself apart from other business schools through its outstanding Placement practices. Our goal is to develop competent professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs globally through holistic education. In line with New Education Policy 2020, a flexible curriculum is designed utilizing a multicultural, multidisciplinary approach, blended with innovative teaching-learning practices. Certification courses, placement with KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PWC, high-paying internships in Mauritius and Singapore, as well as placement with Sutherland Global, with the highest package.
How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?
It is important to understand that learning is a continuous process in every phase and stage you will learn if you want to be a part of this rat race you can but if you want to outshine you need to learn and explore your degree. The competition will get high every day but the quality will stand out. That is what we deliver.
Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?
We provide multidisciplinary subjects which are compulsory for the students where students can pursue their hobbies like Singing, dancing, street plays, and Photography which helps the students outshine the corporate world. Every year we conduct Parakram which is one of the most prominent fests in Pune, we are the winner of MOOD INDIGO fest IIT Mumbai, and recently we have adopted five villages for socio-economic development under the social club.
What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education of your department?
The nation's education system still adheres to orthodox practices in the subject matter. There is a great need for research and development. R&D is the only thing that turns developing nations into developed nations; these changes in academia must be made nation-wise.
When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?
To achieve the college vision, I practice the teaching of quality education while conducting socially relevant research while holding on to traditional Indian values, as stated earlier, learning is a continuous process.
How does the curriculum of your department/college ensure the best practice of the industry?
Study the various aspects of the industry you want to work in. Understand the nitty-gritty aspects of your dream industry. 30% of learning in each subject is covered through case studies & caselets. Students get to spend more time understanding and mastering the specialization of their choice because we start specialization from the first semester.
How does the department/ college/University enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to the industry standards?
All our efforts are aimed at maximizing learning by encouraging intellectual discipline and academic excellence. As students prepare for the competitive corporate world, we ensure that they receive a holistic learning experience through our new pedagogy, which fosters innovation and leadership in every student.

What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train/teach the students?
A choice-based credit system covers both conceptual and practical aspects of all topics. Developed in consultation with industry experts, alumni, and academics. Special courses in communication, yoga meditation, outdoor management, interactive learning modules, and case-based learning prepare students for challenging careers.
