What is the key driving force that keeps you connected with the education sector?

“Diverse nature of the discipline”

Among all the other disciplines, Law happens to be a pride. In Law you need vast knowledge. Law is connected with Engineering, Medicine, Commerce and all the other disciplines. The driving force for me is to learn new things every day and teach it to my students on a regular basis.

How do you strategize the key plans for the administration of your college?

“Keeping a pace with modern trends”

Earlier, the educational institutions were confined to classrooms and sharing the knowledge which is present in the books only. Now the landscape has changed, now there is abundant information available for students and teachers beyond classrooms. Also, mentoring the faculty and seeing that the co-operative environment is maintained for flow of knowledge. Academics and employability are the key factors we look into while strategizing the academics and key programs for the students to be industry ready. We have been strategizing the course by keeping long term plans in mind with reference to better learning capabilities and advanced approaches.

How does the curriculum of your College ensure the best practice of industry?

“Internship and practical training at all levels”

Earlier when I was a student the practical aspect was not in focus. Nowadays, the curriculum of All India BAR Council is framed more practically. In the 5-years course plan, training is included for the students. Earlier there was an apprentice, but after the Supreme Court ordered that the apprentice is not mandatory, we can send students for internships and also we encourage students to train in lawyers campus, Legal Aid clinics. Students also will work under Supreme Court lawyers and High Court lawyers to gain experience.

What do you see as Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College’s greatest strengths?

“Great infrastructure and expertise in law”

Government provides all the support for the college. Also under CSRC (Corporate Social Responsibility) we receive support from many companies and corporations. Infrastructure available in Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College is more advanced and liable than any other government college. Also, we have a very good and expert team of law professors who inculcate the best teaching process and pedagogy to train and make students learn this program.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the aspiring students?

“Think and work for society of which you are a part”

Every student who wants to study is more worried about himself. Students are thinking about employment and living like machines without making a minimum contribution to society. When a student thinks about the betterment of society, they will improve their lives and also for generations to come.
