She has a vast professional experience of 21 years in academics and administration. She has published and presented several papers on management and Occupational Safety practices in international and national journals and conferences. What are your responsibilities towards the College and Students?

Our team plays a very important role in counselling and guiding the students of the college for their successful Career Placement. We also conduct Soft skills training which is quite an essential qualification for professionals aspiring to move up the value chain.

Jaipur College of Pharmacy, established in 2003, is the largest college of pharmacy in Rajasthan with the largest student body. It is managed by a team of eminent educationists, educational administrators and highly qualified professionals. All our students are highly placed in well known pharmaceutical companies. The college library has more than 10,000 text and reference books. We have enriched labs with all the latest instruments and research facilities. Our committed and loyal human resource in the form of faculty and students remains to be our greatest strengths. Apart from this, our USP is the strong academia-industry connection. Our students have secured gold medals in the third and fifth convocation of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. 


What are some plans that you are currently (or will be) designing for JPC students?

We aim to enrich our students with quality education, professional ethics, values and sound knowledge. We ensure that students acquire optimal theoretical knowledge and practical training in the pharmacy programmes through curricular and extracurricular activities. We are continuously working to promote research and entrepreneurship skills amongst students. We are also planning to start a research centre for developing excellent research facilities for the benefit of the students and faculty. The institute is also working on establishing collaborative research projects with companies and organizations. 


Currently, what are the biggest challenges for higher education?

"It is of paramount importance that quality be assured in higher education in India” 

In present times, education models need to reflect the demand for lifelong learning to cope with technological and social changes. In the future, skills will be more important than degrees. Ensuring quality in higher education is amongst the foremost challenges being faced in India today. It is necessary to make the curriculum of our programs and its delivery more contemporary. JCP is a giant leap in providing quality pharmacy education to young students to meet the professional challenges of the fast-growing pharmaceutical industry.
