KMAT 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a state level management entrance test for the admission in the private B-schools in Karnataka. The exam is conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges' Association) on behalf of the Government of Karnataka.

KMAT scores are used for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes in more than 169 colleges in Karnataka. Students are admitted on the basis of an entrance test and marks secured in the qualifying exam. The test consists of objective type questions and contains different papers for MBA/PGDM and MCA.

KMAT 2015 Eligibility Criteria-

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree from any recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply.
  • Students must have minimum 50% to attend the examination.

KMAT 2015 Selection Criteria-

Candidates will be selected on the basis of KMAT scores, group discussion and personal interview.Candidates will get selected for the admission in the different colleges on the basis of merit list of KMAT.

With almost 200,000 applicants every year in the race to get a place in one of the top tier business schools, the selection criteria is stiff and normally entails a national level examination, followed by an interview and group discussion.

KMAT 2015 Reservation-

Colleges associated with KPPGA use KMAT scores to fill 50 % of their seats. The remaining seats are filled through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) which conducts the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for the purpose. No roaster (reservation of seats for various categories), however, is followed for admission through KMAT.
