New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has joined hands with the National Commission for Women (NCW) to offer an online professional training program for early-stage women entrepreneurs for the academic session 2022-23.
As per the IIM Kozhikode, the collaborative program will aim to nurture and build entrepreneurial capability among various interested women entrepreneurs. The online degree program will be offered to candidates for a duration of four months.
"This initiative is executed by the Center of Excellence for Social Innovation (CESI) of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode in association with NCW and MyGov.in,” the institute said in a statement.
Under this IIM Kozhikode Program 2022, the institute will offer four hours of classes every week for four months. The classes will include a total of forty hours of subject sessions and twenty hours of question and answer sessions (Q&A).
Interested women entrepreneurs who wish to apply for the collaborative program of IIM Kozhikode, NCW and MyGov.in can now submit their registrations at innovateindia.mygov.in.

Under this program, applicants will have the option to choose from two specializations designed as per their current career needs. The programs available for women entrepreneurs are Foundation Programme in Entrepreneurship and Advanced Programme in Entrepreneurship.
The Foundation Programme in Entrepreneurship will introduce applicants to the skills required in setting up a business and managerial capability to run the enterprise successfully. The program will include lectures, discussions, entrepreneurship talks, etc.
The Advanced Programme in Entrepreneurship program is specially designed for those women entrepreneurs who wish to increase their business. The program will include various sessions on how to expand markets, access funds, and tune the business models.
Referring to the initiative, NCW, Meeta Rajivlochan, Member-Secretary of the Commission added, “Women have a key role to play in the economic roadmap of India. In a knowledge economy, access to knowledge is crucial”.
“Through this collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management, the National Commission for Women aims to facilitate such access to knowledge; to empower women entrepreneurs, and to pave the way for a happy, balanced and prosperous India”, he added.
