IIM Sambalpur Commences Online Semester Classes through Flipped Classrooms


After successfully conducting the end semester exams in an online proctored mode, IIM Sambalpur has recently started conducting its semester classes in online mode. 

IIM Sambalpur MBA 2nd year Batch 2019-21 have already commenced from today. The classes of MBA 1st year batch 2020-22 is about to commence from August 10, 2020.

The beginning of the new batch will take place on August 3, 2020. The online classes will be conducted with the help of several digital tools and processes to facilitate effective learning.

  • Under this concept, the method of learning is reversed as per the prevailing conditions. 
  • The online modes such as Moodle learning management systems and VC are brought into usage.
  • The institute has smart classrooms equipped with SMART Boards, where students can login and access notes, presentations, curriculum schedules and even test their own knowledge through built-in quizzes.
  •  Team projects will also be conducted virtually as per the trend in industry.

Although the curriculum will remain the same, the method of delivery will change. It will be more effective than traditional ways of learning as it will encourage more critical thinking and creativity amongst the students and the faculty as well.

Apart from this, it will enhance the industry interactions through live projects in classrooms. As a result, students will get an experience of year-long internships.
