IIM Shillong Collaborates with NCW to Offer Online Course to Aspiring Female Entrepreneurs in North-East


New Delhi: Centre for Development of the North Eastern Region (CeDNER) of IIM Shillong has joined hands with the National Commission of Women (NCW) to launch an online certificate program for aspiring women entrepreneurs in the North Eastern Region.

With this collaboration, IIM Shilong and NCW aim to offer women entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn personal and professional development skills such as management practices, growth opportunities, development of effective leadership skills, etc. 

This IIM Shillong Certificate Course will be available for aspiring North Eastern Region women entrepreneurs and will be sponsored by NCW. The course will include a total of 40 hours of weekend classes which will be held in online mode. 

Talking about the certificate program, DP Goyal, Director, IIM Shillong, said, “Collaboration between IIM Shillong and NCW aims to accelerate efforts to promote women entrepreneurship and also build confidence among the women entrepreneurs from both urban and rural areas”. 

“NCW will be sponsoring the course which will be delivered by IIM Shillong faculty to all the selected participants. The course is designed to assist aspiring female entrepreneurs in launching their own businesses while learning from eminent faculty at IIM Shillong” he added. 

Under this course, interested women entrepreneurs will be trained by experts and experienced faculty to develop entrepreneurial skills and offered support through various mentoring sessions and workshops on business ideas and peer networking.
