Kerala Experiences spikes in demand for Nursing Courses

With the daily rise in COVID cases at an alarming rate, Kerala has experienced a spike in demand for Nursing Courses. According to the recent reports of Management Colleges, many candidates are applying for the same under management quota in Kerala.

The admission procedure has already commenced in Self- Financing Colleges which is way higher as compared to last year since July 22, 2020.

As per the official notifications of the Management, around 6235 seats across the state in 127 colleges. Due to large scale demand, the colleges are already falling short.

On the other hand, the number of applications has already reached over 3000 in 58 colleges under PNCMAK (Private Nursing College Management Association for Kerala) .

Nowadays as because of the ongoing pandemic has caused a huge spike in demand for healthcare workers and nurses, is thus one of the root causes behind opting for the Healthcare and Nursing courses even in the other parts of the world.

Besides this, with the rising demand of the course in the state, the govt. Is yet to make a decision regarding the increment in the number of vacant seats in prevailing institutions.
