Masters’ Union Places First Cohort at Average Package of INR 29 Lakh; Check Details


New Delhi: Masters’ Union School of Business has successfully placed its first cohort of their flagship PGP - TBM (Postgraduate in Technology and Business Management) at an average package of INR 29 lakhs. 


In its very first year, Masters’ Union Business School inaugural cohort of 65 students has found placements in almost 40 top firms. The PGP students were recruited in the most popular sectors, consulting, private equity, venture capital, product management, data sciences, and marketing.

The B-school’s Careers Department issued its first ever internship report stating that the top recruiters during the placements were McKinsey, BCG, Tata IQ, PWC, EY and KPMG among the consulting firms.

The inaugural cohort of 2021 represents diversity in terms of academic training, professional experience, age, gender, geographies and even growth aspirations. 

The cohort had a significant representation from engineering and chartered accountancy, apart from lawyers and humanities graduates. The average age of the cohort members is 25.7 years, while the youngest and oldest members were 21 and 39 years old, respectively.

Masters’ Union CEO, Rupesh, said that the PGPTBM course students have achieved significant placement success, at par with the old IIMs, due to the quality of the cohort, the tech-focused curriculum, the deep industry immersion, and the practitioner-led classes. 

In a rather rare occurrence among B-schools, the students have also cracked private equity and venture capital jobs at Softbank JV, L&T Private Equity, Orios Venture partners and Antler India. 

Several students grabbed unique Chief of Staff roles at top funded startups like FtCash (500 Start-ups), Simpl (IA Ventures), Park+ (Sequoia) and Aanswr.

Masters’ Union Placement: Top Recruiters

Masters’ Union is the first management school in India to have marquee recruiters like McKinsey, BCG, EY, HDFC, Tata, Softbank, and BMW hired from its inaugural cohort, placing it in the league of older and established institutions like IIMs and ISB.

Some of the top recruiters in the consulting domain were BCG, Bain & Company, whereas Microsoft, Virtusa, and CISCO topped the recruiter's list in the tech domain. Razorpay and Unacademy also emerged as the biggest recruiters.

Further, the most popular choice for product management roles was offered by the unicorn - Razorpay, which employed the most number of students. Bosch recruited students for their international offices and Virtusa for their US office, while Juspay, Mobikwik, Freecharge and IndiaMart were other recruiters. 

In Finance, the students bagged lucrative jobs offered at premiere companies such as BMW Finance, HDFC, ICRA, ICICI, IndusInd and Axis Bank. In the Digital and Marketing domain, popular and prominent companies like Boat, ITC, Volvo, ABP, Virtusa, and Case Insurance hired a large number of students. 

The cohort witnessed some students opting for long-term consulting projects with Coke and Bobble AI.

Almost eight students were awarded the Masters’ Union Innovation Lab’s equity free seed grant to pursue their own ventures over the summer. These students were also granted fellowships in blockchain platforms and data research. 

The new-age management institute offers industry-immersive business education through classes, headed by top industry giants. practitioners including CXOs, MDs, eminent public leaders, even the Members of Parliament, and the distinguished global faculty from top B-schools. 

Speaking about the success, Pratham Mittal, Director, Masters’ Union, said that the B-school is unique in every way, including how its curriculum blends business education and technology, and how the students are mentored by veteran industry experts or public leaders as soon as they take admission into the institute.. The package has emerged as the highest among all the B-schools.
