Aug 07, 11:30(IST): PM Modi says NEP 2020 emphasises on the begining of New India in 21st Century. NEP has been featured to initiate all round developments of the students which encourages both education and skills.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be delivering the inaugural speech at the 'Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under National Education Policy' on August 7. In his speech he will be covering the important points about the National Education Policy 2020.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was passed by the Union Cabinet at a meeting presided by the PM. It hence marked an end to a 34 year education policy which was framed in 1986.
The 'Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under National Education Policy' is being organised by the MHRD and UGC to aware the mass about the changes in the policy. It will comprise of various sessions conducted by eminent people highlighting the main aspects of the NEP 2020.

The MHRD has released a notice stating that "Union Minister for HRD Ramesh Pokhriyal, Union Minister of State Sanjay Dhotre would also be participating in the event. A number of dignitaries, including the chairman and members, the committee for the draft NEP as well as eminent academicians and scientists will speak on different aspects of the National Education Policy"
"Vice-Chancellors of universities, directors of institutions and principals of colleges and other stakeholders will participate in the programme," it added.
