• Candidates having a Master’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline (M.Sc. - Non-medical OR Master's Degree in the Faculties of Dentistry/ Pharmacy/ Nursing/ Allied Health Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences & Technology/ Physiotherapy/ Management) are eligible. 

• Eligible candidates need to appear in the PhD Entrance Test for PhD and PhD (Part-Time). 
• However, in order to meet the eligibility criteria candidates must have studied and passed a Master’s Degree (DM/MD/M.S./M.Ch or PG Diploma) in the relevant discipline.

After the application submission process, the selection of applicants for admission to the PhD program will be done on the basis of the below-mentioned criteria: 

• Admission to the PhD Program will be done through Online Entrance Examination (Written Test and Interview). 
• Candidates wishing to apply for admission to PhD program under Full Time (seeking Founder- Chancellor Shri N.P.V. Ramasamy Udayar Fellowships) and Part Time (internal and external) categories will have to qualify through an online entrance examination.
• Performance of the candidate will be calculated on the marks obtained in a written test (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage).
• Candidates with UGC/ CSIR/ ICMR/ DBT/ DST/ NET-JRF /AICTE-GATE /AYUSH /INSPIRE Fellowship for JRF /SRF fellows in funded research projects of this Deemed University will be called directly for counselling and admission.
