The first seat allotment of TNEA 2020 for the B.Tech program has been released on the official website https://www.tneaonline.org/. The students can check their allotments by searching for their names on the list.
Seat allotment of TNEA 2020 is based on the merit acquired in the qualifying examination. The students’ results appearing through special quotas such as sports, ex-serviceman, or PwD was released on October 6, 2020.
Candidates whose names have been mentioned on the first allotment list are expected to confirm their seats by paying the admission acceptance fees. The students can download the list as well as the allotment letter for future references.

The seat allotment window consists of information about the allotted college as well as the course. This being the first seat allotment process, the choices filled by the students have been considered.
As per the list, the Round 1 seat allotment is for the students who have scored 199.67 – 175 marks or 1 – 12263 rank in the TNEA 2020 rank list.
Furthermore, TNEA counseling and seat allotment will take place in 4 rounds. The choice filling for the second allotment is open till 17 October, and the tentative date of release of the allotment list is 18th October as of now.

- Select the option which says provisional allotment.
- From the dropdown that appears, select academic seat allotment.
- Round 1 seat allotment will appear on the screen
- Search your name and the allotment status on the list.
- Download the TNEA rank list and the allotment letter for future reference.

The students who wish to take admissions in the allotted college should confirm the payment through the official website. The options of choices available for the students are as follows:
- I accept and confirm the choice allotted to me.
- I decline the current allotment and proceed to the next round.
- I decline the current allotment and quit the counseling.
The student may choose any one of these options as a response to the allotment received.
