New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati has organised the Youth20 Summit 2023 from February 06 to 08, 2023. The event was attended by the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur, who participated in "Youth Dialogue" on Day 2.
As per IIT Guwahati, the three-day event includes panel discussions in which research papers will be presented under the topic "India's G20 Presidency". The event also included discussion meetings, research papers drafted by students and the launch of several research papers.
At Y20 Summit 2023, papers were presented on various themes. Union Minister, and the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sharma were also present at the discussion meeting held at institute's campus ground.

The Y20 event aims to provide youth with a platform where they can raise their concerns and discuss various issues faced in the modern world. Earlier, the IIT Guwahati held a Y20 Inception MEET to prepare programs for the Y20 Summit 2023 during India's G20 Presidency.
As per the official statement, the panel discussion was joined by General VK Singh, GP Singh and Hima Das among other participants. The IIT Guwahati Youth20 Summit 2023 event started on the campus ground on February 6, 2023.
Y20 Summit 2023 included a symposium and cultural night which covered a performance by Singer Papon at Lachit Ghat Island. The summit was attended by 150 delegates from G20 member countries and 12000 students from various colleges and universities.
