Is it easy for JBIMS students to get loans?

EG
Epil Gagrai Posted On : April 16th, 2024

JBIMS does not have an MOU or tie-up with any bank but JBIMS ranks among the top 10 B schools in the list of all banks. Thus, it makes it easier to avail loan services. Banks like the Central Bank of India and SBI have special schemes for these institutes at affordable rates which is an interest rate (6.5%) plus the Bank charge which is about 1.6%. The scheme covers all expenditures along with tuition fees.

What's the process for getting into FMS Delhi?

MJ
Mansi Jain Posted On : April 15th, 2024

Candidates are shortlisted based on a weighted score. This score is calculated by combining the percentiles from all three sections of the CAT exam (VARC, DILR, and QA) with differential weightage (40% 30% 30% respectively). Additionally, your marks from Class X and XII are considered (10% weightage each), with a bonus for scoring above 75% (10 points) or between 60-74% (5 points).

There's also an encouraging diversity factor: women candidates receive an additional 5 points for shortlisting purposes only. If you make the cut-off for this shortlist, you'll be invited for a Personal Interview (PI) where your performance will be evaluated alongside your weighted CAT score, academic marks, and a discussion on your Statement of Purpose (SOP). The weightage for final selection breaks down as follows: 50% for the weighted CAT score, 10% each for Class X and XII marks, 10% for the SOP discussion, 5% for Extempore and 15% for your performance in the PI.

Is there any option to switch streams in IRMA after 3-4 months of admission?

MJ
Mansi Jain Posted On : April 8th, 2024

IRMA doesn't allow its students to change courses on a semester-wise basis. This means that if you select a particular stream, you won't be able to switch to another one after 3-4 months. To avoid any confusion later on, it might be a good idea to research the different specializations offered at IRMA, such as Agri-business Management, Cooperatives Management, etc., before applying. This will help you choose the program that's best suited to your interests.

How should I prepare for the IIM Kozhikode Interview?

EG
Epil Gagrai Posted On : April 8th, 2024

If you have been shortlisted for the WAT-PI round at IIM Kozhikode, then you’ll have to fill up a form and provide details about your academic background, work experience, and extracurricular activities. This is the first step where you need to be very careful about what you are writing, because there are going to be alot of questions being raised from all this.

There will be around 2 panellists during the personal interview round and the type of questions they can ask are:

  • They can start with ‘Tell us about yourself’.
  • There can be questions related to your academics. There could be technical questions and some general questions like why you chose to do this course. Try to be prepared as much as possible about your field of graduation as they can ask anything from it.
  • If you have work experience, then they can ask about your job profile and what was your responsibilities in the company. There can be questions related to your organization like what type of organization it is, what they do, what they sell, who are their competitors, etc.
  • Then again they can ask why did you decide to leave the job and join the MBA program. Basically, you need to prepare why you want to pursue an MBA? Do not miss out on preparing for this question.
  • Then there will also be questions raised on your extracurricular activities. They can ask questions on every organization you volunteered for or any short course or certification you did. They may ask about your experience and what you take back from it.

So overall, you need to know every single detail about yourself. They can ask anything from it. So mention anything that you are not sure about or you have not prepared for it. It is fine if you are unable to answer one or two questions, but try to be confident. The panellists will try to create pressure but try to be calm and keep a smiling face.
