Both the above colleges are really good, so you needn’t worry about that front. You need to first decide which field you have an interest in. If you really have an interest in CSE, only then you should go for PEC. Otherwise, mechanical is a very good branch. Moreover, DTU is known for its mechanical department.
If you are really interested in either of the branches, you should go for it, irrespective of the college you choose. You must first check if you are interested in coding/ development or automobiles, etc. But if you can’t judge your interests, you should go for DTU because Delhi life would offer you more exposure and opportunities. DTU Mechanical is an old, developed branch that is very proud of its heritage.
The table below gives a brief comparison of the courses.

You may ask a DTU as well as a PEC student for their reviews and then decide which college you would like to go for.
DTU offers better opportunities. If you are interested in Mechanical Engineering, you should choose DTU. You will get good exposure and the institute has great brand recognition in the industry. DTU placements for the mechanical branch are excellent. The highest CTC offered to the branch goes up to INR 12 LPA. ONGC, and Mahindra are some of the major recruiting companies that visit the campus placements frequently.
DTU is an excellent choice for Mechanical Engineering. It is often compared to IIT Delhi.
If your interest lies in computer science or you are as ardent in getting it as most of the people around then choose CSE at Bharti Vidyapeeth under IPU.
On the other hand, if you are comfortable with a core branch-like civil engineering and at a college like DTU, then you should undoubtedly go with it.
Here is a brief comparison of the two institutes.

Select according to your interest. Choose wisely.
NSIT/DTU is far better than NIT Hamirpur for CSE.
Be it academics, placement, research culture, peer group, exposure, etc. NSIT/DTU will offer better opportunities. These two institutes also have a locational advantage. Due to the favorable location, you can easily get good exposure in the CSE domain. NSIT and DTU both will offer you plenty of opportunities. However, many students prefer NSIT for their small student intake.
NIT Raipur and DTU Delhi are two different colleges at two different places. Thus, choose a college according to your convenience and which is not so far from your place.
It’s on you to choose what seems more convenient.
Below is some information on the three institutes: PEC Chandigarh, NIT Hamirpur, and DTU:
PEC Chandigarh:
Based on the above factors, PEC Chandigarh should be given a rating of 8 out of 10.
NIT Hamirpur:
Based on the above factors, NIT Hamirpur should be given a rating of 7 out of 10.
DTU:
Based on the above factors, DTU should be given a rating of 9 out of 10.
DTU is a renowned university, known for engineering courses. It will be better to opt for it irrespective of the branch. I have some ideas about the institute since I have some friends at the institute.
You can always opt for CSE subjects in your 1st or 2nd year of the degree. And most recruiting companies coming to the placement drive allows students to appear in interviews, irrespective of their branch. Due to the locational advantages and the brand name, more than 100 companies visit the campus drive every year.

In IP colleges you get 4-5 good recruiting companies at best. Also, the brand name of DTU has its own set of perks.
Both of the colleges have their own specialties. It depends on your purpose for doing any of the mentioned courses. One of my friends graduated from DTU and he mentioned a few points about the same which may be helpful for you-
Categories | Engineering Physics at DTU | ECE at IIIT Una |
Course Fee | 7.81 lakh | 8.16 lakh |

Average CTC | 8-9 LPA | 8 LPA |

B.tech. in Civil engineering is a flagship program of DTU. Admission is made on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in Class XII and candidate’s performance in JEE Main/ JEE Advance. The final selection of the program is based on the allocation of seats through Joint Seat Allocation Authority. The four-year program is an amalgamation of courses to help students understand thedesign and construction of various structures like bridges, buildings, roads, tunnels, and dams.
