One of my friends studied at Sharda University and according to him, it was the biggest regret of his life. He pointed out some good and bad things about the college, which I will be sharing with you.

There is no ragging and the infrastructure is pretty good. It is the only thing good about the college.

The university has many flaws like - 

1. The crowd and the overall exposure are not good. 
2. The tests conducted at Sharda are extremely easy and you do not need to study for more than a day before the exam. 
3. A GPA of 8+ can be easily scored, yet a majority of students are stuck around a GPA of 5 to 7.
4. The university has attendance criteria of 75% which is very strict. For students who travel via Sharda bus or metro from Delhi, it is very difficult to keep up with this.
5. The administration of the college is not good either. The complaints are mostly ignored.
6. Many workshops are conducted but the students are not able to attend them because of the attendance criteria. 
7. The hostels are in pretty bad condition too, so, it is better to opt for PGs or Private Hostels.
8. The faculty is not enthusiastic about teaching or researching in their field. 
9. In the first semester, a lot of time is wasted in learning Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Moral Science, EVS, Multimedia, AutoCAD, Mechanical in your B.Tech CSE. None of these subjects are related to the branch.

If you scored badly in JEE or any other competitive exam but are willing to improve yourself and do not see any other options available, then you can join Sharda University.

Manipal Jaipur campus is one of the best for pursuing CSE. It provides students with top-notch academic resources and amenities. Additionally, the placements are fairly decent. Every year, between 80 to 100 percent of students in the CSE stream get placed. So Manipal University Jaipur is an excellent choice for aspiring students:

However, whether it is worth paying 3 lakh/annum through the PESSAT depends on several factors, including your personal goals, financial situation, and career aspirations. If you want to seriously pursue a career in CS, look no more for IIIT Hyderabad is the best option for you. Despite being young, it is easily comparable to the old IITs and its improving brand value and academic quality has managed to attract the best crowd. Here are a few other aspects that should be considered

• Coding Culture: The institute has an exceptionally good coding culture that is maintained through frequent internal programming contests. The institute also participates in the ACM-ICPC World Finals every year and has made several achievements.
• Contributions: IIIT Hyderabad students make a lot of open-source contributions. The increasing number of students who get selected for coding events such as Google Summer of Code, is a testament to the same. 
• Research: IIIT Hyderabad curriculum is designed in such a way that it encourages students to pursue research. Students even at the UG level here can be seen involved in Artificial Intelligence or Advanced Algorithms-based projects and even have publications in the same.
• Faculty: The most important aspect is the faculty which is again very good in the case of IIIT Hyderabad. Most professors are PhDs from well-reputed colleges in India and abroad. These professors encourage the students to pursue MS and Ph.D. as well as summer internships or projects in overseas universities. 
• Entrepreneurship: IIIT Hyderabad has always promoted the Entrepreneurship culture among its students. Students also excel in diverse fields like finance, consulting, etc. by doing well in exams like CFA, CAT, or GMAT. However, I will say that IITs would provide you with better opportunities in this aspect as of now.

Ultimately, an institute can only guide you but cannot be completely responsible for shaping your career. So choose wisely!
