AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : September 7th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

The minimum qualifying CAT cut-off percentile for IIM Kozhikode admission is 85 for General, 75 for NC-OBC/EWS, 65 for SC, and 55 for ST/PwD candidates.

The minimum CAT Cutoff for IIM Trichy admission is 92 for general, 70 for EWS, 74 for NC-OBC, 54 for SC, and 40 for ST and PwD candidates.

However, it’s important to note that the qualifying CAT cutoff alone is not enough to seek admission to these institutes. One needs to clear the Personal Interview and meet other criteria too.

Why are the BITS Pilani cut offs so low this year?

AB
Arun Biswas Posted On : August 5th, 2023
Studied at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra

The three major reasons for the lower cutoff at BITS Pilani are listed below

Increasing Seats – In the current scenario, IITs are far more developed and are the top institutes in India. An increase in the number of students is directly proportional to the probability of success. So, BITS follows the same pattern used by the smart IITs in India

Increasing Fees – There is a general tendency among students to opt for colleges that are relatively more costly than others, which is evident from institutes like IITs, Harvard, and so on. BITS also started to follow the trend.

Third-Party Factors – As we know, most of the students were attracted to IITs mainly because of the brand name. So the competition level is very high here, so most of the students will choose institutes like BITS, which have lower cutoffs.

What marks and rank is required to get Aerospace Engineering in IIT Bombay in JEE Advanced 2024?

AT
Adwait Tejas Posted On : March 20th, 2023
studied Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2021)

The JEE Advanced cutoff 2023 for Aerospace Engineering at IIT Bombay has not been released yet.

Factors determining IITs Cutoff 2023 for B.Tech Aerospace Engineering are

  • Previous years’ cutoff trends
  • Difficulty level of JEE Advanced 2023.
  • The total number of candidates who appeared for the entrance examination.
  • Number of applicants for Aerospace Engineering in each institute.
  • Previous Years’ IITs Cutoff for B.Tech Aerospace Engineering

You can check the previous years’ cutoff of IITs for B.Tech Aerospace Engineering for reference from the tables given below.

Category

Cutoff

General

2119

OBC

1211

EWS

496

General (PWD)

164

SC

726

ST

396

As far as marks are considered I think scoring above 50% of the maximum marks will guarantee a rank close to 2000 which is sufficient for getting Aerospace at IITK, IIT-KGP, IITM but maybe not IIT-B. However, don't limit your efforts to attain the required rank only. Work hard and give your best and try to rank as high as you can.

Also, I would suggest you to go for IIT Kanpur if you are interested in Aerospace as it has better facilities in this branch. But it is a well-known fact that the job prospects in Aerospace are very limited in India.

If you get a rank of more than 10000, go for IIST, Trivandrum.

Yes, you have a good chance of becoming eligible at NIT Trichy. Since your score is what you have mentioned above, it translates to your rank being somewhere 1,000 or 1,200. As per your rank, you have a sharper edge at securing admission in the CSE department of NIT Trichy.

However, here is a detailed cut-off list of NIT Trichy for equivalent disciplines, alongside CSE as well:

Do people with above 99.90 percentile get rejected in IIFT Delhi? My GEM profile is pathetic and I am only targeting IIFT Delhi (and not IIFT Kolkata).

IS
Ishani Sinha Posted On : April 29th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi

IIFT Delhi has rejected even 99.88–99.92 percentile candidates in the past. Candidates with 99.xx and 96.xx percentiles have similar entrance scores, but those who performed well have an advantage in the admission process.

Do not be complacent in the GD, WAT, and PI rounds. Candidates with high percentiles have similar absolute scores, but the entrance exam score weighs 55% of the final composite score. So individuals with high admission exam scores have an advantage but might still be dismissed if they perform poorly in future stages.

What is the cut-off for IBS Hyderabad?

TC
Tanuj Chandra Posted On : February 21st, 2023
Former Team Manager at Amazon India (amazon.in) (2018–2019)

Securing admission at ICFAI Business School Hyderabad does not require a specific cut-off. Instead, your performance on the IBSAT examination, as well as your GD-PI (Group Discussion and Personal Interview), are taken into consideration. It is recommended that you attempt all questions on the IBSAT exam, as there is no negative marking, to increase your chances of being called for the GD-PI.

Out of the 20,000 shortlisted candidates who are screened over the course of 10 days, only 1,200 students are selected for the main campus, with the rest being allocated to other campuses based on their individual preferences. In order to stand out in this competitive process, it is advisable to focus on your GD-PI performance, as well as to have a solid understanding of aptitude.

You can apply for PGDM admission at IMS Ghaziabad for the 2022 academic year. To be considered for admission, you must take one of the following entrance exams: CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, and ATMA. Your score in these exams, along with your performance in the GD-PI and WAT, will be used to determine your eligibility for the PGDM program. To be considered for admission, you must achieve a percentile score between 80 and 95 on your entrance exam.
