Both Chitkara and CGC Landran are at the same level. As far as placements are concerned, both of them offer excellent placements with well-developed placement cells.
UPES is definitely more concentrated on petroleum and chemical engineering. It also has some unique courses and a really good reputation and you will get to learn a lot. Fees might be a little expensive though.
My advice to you would be to not choose electronics and communication engineering at either of them because placements are not that great and you don’t want to end up with CSE students and learn coding in the last few months of your college.

While the fees for UPES are quite high, you can expect to get a similar return on your investment. At the same time, you will not be pestered for admissions like in my brother’s case with regards to CGC Landran and CU. The faculty at UPES is very good too.
My friend is a pass out from IIIT Sri City and was placed at a well-reputed company. According to his experience, the secret to their great placement record is their curriculum.
As we all know that IIIT Hyderabad is the mentor institute of IIIT Sri City, it gets excellent faculty and placement assistance. The curriculum is totally different compared to NITs and IITs, so you will have a year of advantage over others because in IIITs there is no PCM in the first year.
You will be taught core subjects in depth from the first year itself, unlike regular B.Tech. This is a major plus point that helps train you enough for the placements later. Currently, the average package at IIIT Sri City is about 8–9 LPA and the highest is 24 LPA.
You might also get offered semester-long internships out of India in which you will get paid too.

However, the placement package and company also depend on your skills and capabilities. So, you will need to strictly adhere to their curriculum to climb the ladder of success. Also, in case you miss the campus placements, the rigorous curriculum and training will make you capable of getting any good-paying job outside the campus.

During 2022, out of the three M.Tech specializations, highest placements were achieved by CSE. Even the highest CTC was bagged by CSE students, among all the three specializations. M.Tech CSE and CSIS received 100% placements during 2022.

As is evident from the data, the M.Tech placements for CSE and CSIS are quite good at IIIT Hyderabad. But CASE is a bit lacking in this regard.
NITIE is not visited by many companies with dedicated Marketing and Finance profiles.
It is a richer option for SCM, Operations, and IT management placements.
It is the leading name in supply chain management.
Only freshers are offered marketing profiles. The FMCGs offer profiles that are somewhat related to marketing (thus not fully dedicated to marketing).
Corporate finance profiles, Investment banking positions, or Banking firm positions are offered in finance. Banking firms do visit NITIE with good finance placements, for both freshers and experienced candidates. These finance placements offer good packages. However, the placement figure is much lower as compared to JBIMS and IIMC.

Students at NITIE are mostly not interested in a Finance Career. Most belong to an engineering background, almost none have a finance background. Very few students at NITIE have CFA certifications. The finance faculty is not as good as IIMs. A CFA certification is a must if you want to secure a finance position. Mostly, you are on your own.
This is the reason why recruiters seldom come to NITIE for finance and marketing positions.

The placement scenario for the Mining branch at IIT BHU is good. Around 75% of the students get placement offers. Last year, the highest CTC offered to the students was 40 LPA. While the average and lowest CTC for the branch is 12 LPA and 6 LPA respectively. Some of the core companies that frequent the placement drive are Coal India, Hindalco, etc. Last year, around 70% of students got placement offers.
Whenever any company visits for the placement procedure at NICMAR, a notice is sent to all the students through the mail. It consists of all relevant information including the company name, job profile, eligibility, salary offered, job location, etc. Furthermore, a column is given where you can fill the expected salary package.
Any fresher cracking the interview will be offered a salary package of around 7 to 8 LPA whereas an experienced candidate will be given a salary package of around 9 LPA.
Some organizations also have a set CTC that they offer, and you will get paid that amount regardless of your experience.
