TJ
Tejaswini Jha Posted On : October 6th, 2022
Bsc computer science(h) in Hansraj College, University of Delhi

As explained by a B.Sc(Hons) Computer Science graduate from DU, there are the following scopes after the course:

  1. Job: If you are studying computer science at a college like Hansraj, KMC, or Venky, you may get a good job or your dream profile in a good company. If you believe and know that you will not be able to find work that is equivalent to your B.Sc Comp Sc, please do not apply.
  2. Passion for Computers: If you want to go into research while still enjoying computer science, pursue an M.Sc in Comp Sc from DU or another reputable university such as Kolkata University or Bombay University. M.Sc. from DU is good, and you will be placed in good companies. Another possibility is an M.Sc. in Operational Research from DU.
  3. MBA: MBA is also one of the best scopes for students to go ahead. There is an immense opportunity for good placements and better career options.

B.Sc (Hons.) in Computer Science has a much broader scope. The field of science and technology is ever-expanding, and the scopes it has to offer are based on research and development principles. When it comes to pursuing a degree such as Computer Science, graduates have numerous options. They may conduct field research or pursue careers in more financially lucrative fields. For BSc graduates, there are numerous job opportunities available.

Is it true that SRM University has staff from IITs IISc and reputed institution from abroad only as a Global University in India?

RB
Rima Bera Posted On : September 14th, 2021
B.Tech from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (2020)

One of my cousins graduated from SRM University and here are some of the things I got to know from him, regarding your question.

  • To be honest, I do not know how authentic this statement is, as SRM University is as local as a rural university in Uttar Pradesh or Bihar.
  • Out of 3000 staff members, only 6 are from IITs. Most of them are from affiliated self-financing colleges like Anna University.
  • Some of them are from deemed universities like Satyabhama, Vels and Bharath University.
  • Most of the teachers of their management department are from Vinayaka Mission University and Alagappa University.
  • The physics and mathematics staff are from local colleges.
  • The CSE department does not have good teachers, most of them graduated from SRM only.
  • There are also no visiting faculty.

Do check the official website of the college to get an elaborate view of the faculty profiles. It is a local university thus their scope and reach is limited.

How is the BSc course at Christ University, Bangalore?

A
Admin Posted On : May 16th, 2024

I am a BSc. student at Christ University. My experience of pursuing this course at Christ has been a mixed bag.

The faculty for BSc. at Christ is average at best, and the facilities offered to students are not up to the mark. One can approach the respective subject teacher if one wishes to study and research in that particular field.

Some events organized by the university which are related to this field, are quite good in all honesty. Another thing is that Christ University imposes a lot of rules and regulations on students, which can be very burdensome at times.

Overall, Christ University offers a decent BSc. program, and you can opt for the same if you do not come across better options.

MD
Malabika Dasgupta Posted On : July 2nd, 2022
Master's from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad

IMT Ghaziabad is a better option. It is an old course and has better brand recognition. IMT Ghaziabad has a legacy of more than 30 years and a huge alumni base. The general management program has a good placement record. IMT Ghaziabad placements in 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 15.28 LPA. While the highest CTC received by the students was INR 62 LPA.

Still if you are interested in the DCP Program, the video below will give you an overview of the same

Here are a few pros and cons of pursuing MBBS from JIPMER

If an average student gets into top B-schools like XLRI, JBIMS, IIFT, and FMS, how can he/she standout in the summer and final placements?

KG
Koyel Ghosh Posted On : May 15th, 2021
MBA Finance, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (2019)

If you are an average student then your previous experience, CV, and performance in GD/PI would matter the most in final placements.

Experience: If you have any experience then companies are likely to pick them for similar roles during summers and final placements.

CV: Focus on the matters the most, CV construction and articulation. There are plenty of sites on the internet to help. A good CV will help you to get many more interviews than other batchmates. One should put a lot of effort into that.

GD/PI: Preparation for Group Discussion and the Personal Interview should be a mixture of personal questions, current affairs, academic questions, industry or sector, company in that order.

  • Employers don't expect deep insights but expect high levels of awareness from you and cultural fit is a must.
  • If you are highly ambitious then the foreign banks will prefer you.
  • If you are hardworking and can demonstrate that, the local banks will prefer you.
  • If you are not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and happy working with small shops, rural areas, the FMCG may select you.

You should be able to articulate your interview to be able to demonstrate these attributes. The interviewers are usually experienced enough to see through the lies of the students.

How is the life at BHU?

SC
Sumit Chetri Posted On : August 29th, 2022
B.A. Social Science in Socilogy & Economics, Banaras Hindu University

BHU offers a vibrant campus life. Many cultural events and extra-curricular activities take place around the academic year. You will hardly find a day without any such activities happening on campus.

The campus is huge and lush green. BHU offers excellent facilities to students such as the university library, many cafeterias, various clubs, etc. Food offered at the mess is average. IIT offers better food in comparison. Bus services are available for students. Having a personal bi-cycle, scooter, or bike will be helpful, in commuting.

The academics offered by BHU are good and the professors are helpful. The examinations are easy in general but you will have to put in extra effort, to secure good placements.

How are the food facilities at NIT Jamshedpur?

SG
Siddharth Gupta Posted On : April 20th, 2021
Studied at National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur (2018)

The details about the food facilities in NIT Jamshedpur are as mentioned below.

Mess Food Facilities

  • The quality of the mess food is average and is not the best. However, the provision of good food increases as you become a senior in the department.
  • The mess provides non-vegetarian food items five times a week. At the same time, vegetarian food items are not quite as good as non-vegetarian items.
  • The best meal, however, in the mess is its breakfast.
  • The current mess rate is Rs.15000 per semester.
  • The students who are residing in the Mega hostel have their meals in other hostels' mess. It is because the Mega mess is not functional at present, which mainly is a problematic scenario.

Canteen Food Facilities

  • The food of the canteen area provides a wide range of items as it is a newly developed area. It can be anything from espresso coffee to special “thali”.
  • If you possibly can, then have a brief glimpse at their menu card when you visit the canteen.

Private owners

  • There are several private restaurant owners as well. The one among many, as also acclaimed by numerous students, is a hotel named Pradeep Restaurant on the campus which provides decent food items.
  • Gupta hotel is another place where you can possibly obtain non-vegetarian food items at comparatively low prices.
  • Sudha store, Shyam da, and NIT store are various other food hotspots for students in the campus. The Amul store is just another decent shop where you can find some of the amul products you would love to eat as well.

These are the several food facilities you will acquire in and outside of the campus.
