One of the most important factors for choosing BBA from Christ University was my interest in the subject. If you are interested in business and administration, then you should choose Christ. The curriculum is great. Though the term exams are quite tricky, they will thoroughly test your understanding of business and administration through the various case studies of companies. You are eligible to sit for placements in the last semester in June. Many well-known companies visit the campus. Some of the recruiters include BCG, McKinsey, DeShaw, JP Morgan, Accenture, ICICI, etc. You can expect to get hired for roles such as HR, consultant and analyst. The highest package goes around 10-20 LPA. The average package offered is around 6 LPA. The placement cell is active and makes sure that a good percentage of the students get placed at the top companies.
The placement for MBA in Christ University is really good. You will be eligible for placements from your 5th trimester. Our university has a rich history of placement for more than 20 years which attracts more than 150 organizations every year to recruit MBA students. Reputed companies visit the companies such as TCS, EY, Cerner aa, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. The packages provided by these companies are also satisfactory, but please do not expect to get very high-paying packages like the IIMs. The placement cell is active and helps the students get placed at top companies. The highest package for MBA is around 15 LPA and the average package is around 6 LPA. The return on investment is good. You can expect about 90% of the students to get placed. Many training sessions and corporate interactions are conducted to make the students accustomed to the job culture and the recruitment process.
You will be eligible to sit for placements in your fifth semester. Christ University provides many placement opportunities to its students. You have to maintain an aggregate of 70% to be eligible for placements. Reputed recruiters visit the college to recruit students according to various job requirements. You need to groom yourself and sharpen your communication skills to get placed as these companies conduct different rounds. If you successfully qualify for all the rounds then only you are selected. The placement cell is quite active and supports the students throughout the placement season and helps you to get placed at top companies. The placement percentage is around 80%.
LPU is known for providing one of the best placements in the industry. In 2023, LPU has performed really well in terms of providing high paying placements to its students. On top of that, Computer Science Engineering is one of the most dynamic disciplines for which recruiters are willing to pay more. I would like to point out the placement statistics of 2023. For the Computer Science and Engineering batch of 2023, 95% of the students have been placed at the top companies with an average package of 7 LPA.
Moreover, a BTech CSE student has secured a package of INR 52.08 LPA from Microsoft. There were around 1107 total recruiters and the top recruiters were Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant, Adobe, etc. Most of the high paying packages were secured by students who belong to the Computer Science Engineering batch of 2023.
Placement opportunities at LPU are great. To support this, I must point out the placements that were offered in 2023. The placement percentage stood at 100%. The median package for UG (3 years) was INR 8.10 LPA and for UG (5 years) was INR 8.20 LPA. The total number of students who were placed stood at 384. Microsoft, Infosys, Adobe, etc. were the top recruiters.
LPU has secured 16th rank under the law category in the NIRF ranking 2023. Students who have pursued BA LLB from LPU are placed at top corporate companies. The curriculum of this course has made our students industry-ready. This course includes expertise in law, legal policies and frameworks, mergers and acquisitions and business. The recruiters are attracted to this aspect of the course and hire the students.
As someone who is working at LPU, I can confirm that LPU provides excellent placement opportunities for online and distance education students. The university is known for its diverse range of online and distance education courses. The same placement assistance is provided to these students as to those pursuing traditional courses.
The placement cell of the university provides job assistance to online and distance education students by organising campus drives and connecting students with industry professionals. They also provide career counselling and help students in preparing for the interviews.
The online course students are placed in top companies like IndiGo, Air India, Intellipaat, Wipro, Amazon, ICICI Bank and more. The average package ranges between INR 5 LPA to INR 7 LPA. More than 1300 students from distance education courses from LPU have secured jobs with above 100 companies conducting drives at the campus.
The main reason for the difference in placements numbers of the New IIMs and the Baby IIMs is recognition in the industry. It's obvious that older and more established IIMs will have a better industry connection, better alumni strength and more experience in attracting quality roles. All these factors are important contributors in the placement of any college. If you look at the average salary stats for new IIMs, it was over 19 lacs for all 6 2nd generation IIMs and over 16 lacs for the baby IIMs for the batch of 2023. The difference is not that huge as such considering baby IIMs are just 5 years younger than 2nd generation IIMs. The gap is more evident in cases where one company is a loyal recruiter from new IIMs and has just started recruiting from baby IIMs. With time this difference will reduce as baby IIMs become more recognized in the industry.
First of all, all the students will receive a mail on their official email ids provided by the institute from the Placement Committee about the arrival of a company. Each of these mails will have an eligibility criteria mentioned by the company, the CTC offered by the company, guidelines for the process to be followed as mentioned by the Placement Committee and a Google form to collect CVs and data asked by the company. The data is then sent to the HR who then replies with a list of the shortlisted candidates. These candidates receive another email on the same mail trail with a link to join a WhatsApp group maintained by the committee. Then, the company starts with its processes. Usually, the processes include a GD or an Assignment or a task mentioned by the company. Then, the candidates clearing the initial rounds appear for the final interview. The number of interviews also depends on the company itself. The selected candidates are then informed about their selection via a batch email. Some companies like Amazon, DE Shaw, etc also add an additional Aptitude round. Only the students clearing the cutoffs of the aptitude round are then called for further rounds. This practice of taking a written test is followed by almost all the good companies. Hence, it is advisable for the students to keep in touch with the basics of aptitude even after their CAT exam.
