What is the dress code in Kongu Engineering College?

B.Tech Chemical Engineering,Kongu Engineering College,Tamil Nadu

Kongu Engineering College is very strict regarding dress code. I have a few friends who graduated from the institute and here is what they told me about the dress code.

  • At KEC dress code for boys is formal shirts and pants that you have to tug in neatly. Also, you should not fold your full-sleeve shirt. Formal shoes in either black or brown are a must.
  • For girls, the dress code is Salwar Kameez. You can also wear sarees on special occasions like department functions. No modern dresses are allowed on the campus.

ID Card and uniform are a must and both are provided by the management.

B.E from Kongu Engineering College, Tamil Nadu, India (2018)

One of my friends graduated from Kongu Engineering College and here is his insight.

Kongu Engineering College is one of the best and standard Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. The college provides all the necessary facilities for the students to improve their knowledge. It’s tough to decide the best department, as all the departments are unique.

  • CSE, IT, and ECE departments offer great placements.
  • The faculty at Civil is best.
  • CSE and EIE departments have the best culture.
  • The mechanical department has a well-balanced academic structure. You can easily maintain good academics and enjoy your college life.

Overall all the departments in Kongu Engineering College are good, so take any department you want.

How is the study at Kongu Engineering College? How is the facility? Do they teach in English or Tamil?

SS
Sarita Sripada Posted On : September 27th, 2021
Studied at Kongu Engineering College,Tamil Nadu,India (2019)

According to some of my friends studying at KEC (Kongu Engineering College), most professors use Tamil to teach the classes at Kongu Engineering College.

  • Most of the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu teach in Tamil.
  • Most of the staff and faculties use Tamil and there is no such diversity in the language.
  • The professors for English and Communication are the only ones who always speak in English.
  • In the 2nd or 3rd year, even fewer teachers speak English so it gets hard for an outsider to not understand a word being said.
  • KEC is not the right option regarding this case. If you want to speak in English during college timings, Kongu Engineering College is not the right choice for you.

However, the faculties are mostly above average and all of them have a Ph.D. degree. So for students who are Tamil, would find it good to study here in Kongu Engineering College.

Which is better, SKCET or Kongu Engineering College?

Studied at Kongu Engineering College,Tamil Nadu,India (2017)

This depends on the subjects chosen, your commitment towards it, and your future goals too. For courses such as CSE, IT, EEE, ECE then KEC (Kongu Engineering College) would be the better option.

  • The placement opportunities there are better in product-based companies too.
  • Lots of interesting projects, internships, and technical training are conducted by KEC.
  • The placement services in KEC start from the 3rd year itself and students get selected in the service-based IT sector from all the major branches.
  • It is also helpful for the students who want to pursue their master’s degree later through exams such as IES, GATE, IAS, IFS, CAT, etc.
Categories Kongu Engineering College
Course Fee 2 lakh
Placement Percentage 70-80%
Highest CTC 21 LPA
Average CTC 8-9 LPA
Recruiting Companies Tech Mahindra, HP, Dell, Mindtree, etc.

In KEC you will be prepared for all your future endeavors. Kongu Engineering College is definitely the better choice out of the two.

Which college is better for food technology, Tanuvas or Kongu Engineering College, Erode?

KT
Kushal Tondon Posted On : September 10th, 2021
B.Tech from Sharda University

Kongu Engineering College is better than TANUVAS for Food Technology. It is the best in terms of experience, faculty, lab facilities, and environment, among other things. TANUVAS is great for animal research but not for food technology.

Kongu Engineering College has many labs with high-quality equipment, placements with good professors, and many facilities to meet your needs. It has cutting-edge equipment like a Freeze dryer, Microwave, and Infrared dryers, Spray dryers, and HPLC.

B.E Mechatronics, Kongu Engineering College, Tamil Nadu, India (2016)

One of my friends graduated from Kongu Engineering College and according to him, the hostel food is good. Comparatively, that is the best food you can get among colleges.

Most people like non-veg food at the cafeteria. According to my friend, the cafeteria food is not worth the money. You can find outside vendors for food. That is better. There are some really good shops for chit-chats.

How north Indian are treated in kongu engineering college?

Integrated M.Tech IIEST Shibpur

I have a few friends from Kongu Engineering College and according to them, North Indian students are treated like native students.

North Indians don't have to worry as you won't be feeling that you are in a different state. Everyone will treat you as equal. There won't be any partiality in teaching or hostels. You will feel comfortable studying at Kongu Engineering College.

Maybe you will face a little problem due to language. But apart from that, North Indian students don’t face any problems.

Did NIOS students get admission in Kongu Engineering College Erode? How much percentage do I need? I studied PCM.

YR
Yashwant Rajendra Posted On : September 8th, 2021
Studied at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) (2020)

The eligibility criteria are different in all the private colleges according to their rules and norms.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) doesn't cater to the open education system and it seems that it doesn't have value but that's not true.

Although, in general terms, to get admission to Kongu Engineering College, Erode, you should have at least 50% aggregate in your 12th standard with the subject as physics, chemistry, and maths as the main subjects. At least 45% marks if you fall under the reserved categories (ST, SC, OBC, etc.).
