Kongu Engineering College is one of the best and standard Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. The college provides all the necessary facilities for the students to improve their knowledge. It’s tough to decide the best department, as all the departments are unique.
Overall all the departments in Kongu Engineering College are good, so take any department you want.
According to some of my friends studying at KEC (Kongu Engineering College), most professors use Tamil to teach the classes at Kongu Engineering College.
However, the faculties are mostly above average and all of them have a Ph.D. degree. So for students who are Tamil, would find it good to study here in Kongu Engineering College.
This depends on the subjects chosen, your commitment towards it, and your future goals too. For courses such as CSE, IT, EEE, ECE then KEC (Kongu Engineering College) would be the better option.

Kongu Engineering College is better than TANUVAS for Food Technology. It is the best in terms of experience, faculty, lab facilities, and environment, among other things. TANUVAS is great for animal research but not for food technology.

Most people like non-veg food at the cafeteria. According to my friend, the cafeteria food is not worth the money. You can find outside vendors for food. That is better. There are some really good shops for chit-chats.
I have a few friends from Kongu Engineering College and according to them, North Indian students are treated like native students.
North Indians don't have to worry as you won't be feeling that you are in a different state. Everyone will treat you as equal. There won't be any partiality in teaching or hostels. You will feel comfortable studying at Kongu Engineering College.
Maybe you will face a little problem due to language. But apart from that, North Indian students don’t face any problems.
The eligibility criteria are different in all the private colleges according to their rules and norms.
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) doesn't cater to the open education system and it seems that it doesn't have value but that's not true.
