RMK Engineering College is affiliated with Anna University and is widely recognized for its academic standards. The institute ranks 30th in Tamil Nadu and 155th for BTech in India by NIRF 2020.

Admission Requirements:

RMK Engineering College offers various educational programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels on engineering and technology. Some of the popular courses at the institute are BTech, BE, MTech, ME, MCA, etc. 

  • The admissions to the UG level courses are made through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). 
  • The admission process in the PG level courses is through TANCET and GATE. 

Faculty:

The institute has a faculty strength of 300 members. The faculties are well-qualified and have years of experience in teaching and research.

Scholarships:

  • The institute offers 10 scholarships of the value of INR 5,000 each to help the deserving, needy students.
  • BC/SC/ST students can also opt for scholarships awarded by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
     

Infrastructure:

What are the placements like for ECE at RMK Engineering College?

RMK Engineering College is ranked 155 for BTech in India by NIRF 2020. It also ranks 5th in South India in terms of placement. 

ECE department at RMK Engineering College has an annual intake of 180. The department offers a BE program and to take admission the students are required to have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. The students are also required to have a valid TNEA rank. In 2019 the required cutoff was 9246. 

The department consists of 53 faculty members who are supportive and friendly. The institute pushes its students to actively participate in many workshops and conferences to excel in academics. 

Placements Highlights:

  • The department of Training and Placement at the institute makes an effort to send the students for In-Plant training to give them exposure to the industrial world as well as enhance their technical skills.
