Which is better, TAPMI PGDM core or IMT Nagpur marketing?

Manager (Credit) at HDFC Bank (2020–present)

It is indeed true that TAPMI has a good reputation in the market, and it is well known for providing quality education and attracting high-quality students. Marketing exposure and placement for Marketing students are considered to be particularly strong at TAPMI, making it a popular choice for students interested in this field.

IMT Nagpur, on the other hand, also has its own strengths and maybe a better fit for some students. As you mentioned, the number of students per batch is a concern for both TAPMI and IMT Nagpur, and this could potentially impact the quality of education and the individual attention that students receive from faculty. Before making a final decision, it is indeed a good idea to visit the college websites and read the placement reports provided by NIRF to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the colleges' strengths and weaknesses.

In terms of the strict rules regarding attendance, it is important to be aware of these before making a final decision. Strict rules and regulations can be challenging for some students, so it is crucial to carefully consider your own study habits and how well you are likely to adapt to such an environment.

Ultimately, the best way to determine which college is right for you is to weigh your individual career goals, preferences, and priorities against the strengths and weaknesses of each college. By doing so, you can make an informed decision that will help you reach your full potential and achieve success in your chosen field.

Which is better: IMT Nagpur, Hyderabad/ TAPMI / LBSIM?

JP Morgan, DE Shaw & Co, IIM Trichy

IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad are considered good B-Schools, better than TAPMI and LBSIM but IMT Nagpur is more established and has a better reputation, which puts it higher on the list. However, this ranking can vary depending on the factors that are being considered, such as faculty quality, campus infrastructure, industry linkages, and alumni network, among others. Additionally, personal preference and individual career goals should also be taken into consideration while evaluating the B-Schools.

It is always recommended to visit the campus and talk to current students and alumni before making a final decision.

MBA from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (2019)

IMT Ghaziabad is better than IMT Nagpur. These two don’t belong in the same tier. IMT G is counted among the top B-Schools in the country. It was ranked 5th for MBA by India Today 2021. It is the flagship brand of IMT.

IMT G has maintained an amazing placement record over the years. The average and highest CTC offered to students during IMT Ghaziabad placements 2022 were respectively INR 15.28 LPA and INR 62 LPA.

Which is better among BIMTECH Noida, XIME Bangalore and IMT Nagpur/Hyderabad in terms of ROI and placements, or should I try again next year?

It is advisable not to wait for another year as you can never be sure of the outcome, no matter how much hard work you put in. Instead, work on selecting the right colleges instead, which can predict 60% of where you end up. If you get into a good college, then rest assured, your career has been made.

Now, between the colleges you mentioned, I would suggest IMT Hyderabad, as it is better in terms of placements. The ROI is also relatively okay. However, if you compare it with other colleges in Hyderabad, even if IMT is good, there are better options available.

For example, Ashoka School of Business (ASB Hyderabad), NMIMS or SIBM. ASB is slightly better as they have excellent grooming programs like the 360-degree program and EIR which ensures good training. The college also offers dual specialization and the placements are also great. The overall fee for the college is only around INR 6.9L for two years for the full-time PGDM course.

The choice between IBS Hyderabad and IMT Nagpur for pursuing post-graduate education in management may depend on a variety of factors, but it is important to consider why IMT Nagpur might be a better option. While IBS Hyderabad offers a variety of programs in management, including BBA, BA, E-MBA, and Ph.D., IMT Nagpur focuses solely on PGDM programs in six specializations. This focus allows IMT-Nagpur to provide a high-quality education specifically tailored to the needs of management students.

One of the key benefits of IMT Nagpur is its strong connections to the business world. The institution attracts over 100 recruiters each year from top companies, providing students with a wide range of opportunities for employment after graduation. Additionally, IMT Nagpur is known for offering high salaries to its graduates, with average starting salaries of 16 LPA.

In addition to its strong academic programs and employment prospects, IMT Nagpur also has a well-deserved reputation for having a great campus life. When choosing a post-graduate institution, it is important to consider not just the curriculum, but also the overall experience and environment. Which college is the best: IBS Bangalore; IBS Pune; IMT Nagpur; IMT Hyderabad; Jaipuria Noida; Jaipuria Lucknow; or ISB M Pune?

Your decision of selecting an institution for higher education should not be based solely on the reputation of the institution. Your personal dedication and hard work are essential factors in your academic success. It is not the institution that matters, but your own determination and effort that will determine the quality of education you receive. Furthermore, it is important to note that individuals have pursued successful careers even without attending traditional brick-and-mortar institutions, by taking advantage of open universities and other alternatives.

So, don't limit yourself by thinking that one institution is the best and another is the worst. Instead, focus on gaining knowledge and making a well-informed decision based on your personal circumstances and goals.

Can you please set the preference order for the following MBA colleges: IBS-Hyderabad, IMT-Nagpur, XIME-Banglore, Welingkar-Mumbai, Bimtech-Noida?

Honestly speaking all the B Schools you mentioned are just glamorous brand names with no real value. The placement scenario is very pathetic here as the companies that visit are looking for students who can work at fewer salaries. Only the extremely meritorious students get good packages and that too is rare.

So I will suggest that if you have scored 95+ in CAT, then you are capable of more. So work hard and target a better B School next year. Remove these colleges from your list of options and attempt CAT again.

If you are not very sure about attempting CAT again then prepare yourself for a package as low as 5-6 LPA.
