Why clearing B.Tech in Kurukshetra University is difficult?

SP
Suresh Pahwa Posted On : October 1st, 2021
Studied at Kurukshetra University (2018)

Having read a few online reviews of the alumni, here are some things I got to know regarding your question.

  • Kurukshetra University is famous for giving supplies to students even if the student has done the paper well.
  • The most important thing that makes clearing B.Tech difficult is the outdated syllabus and curriculum used in Kurukshetra University.
  • There are so many subjects which are not even useful later on in your career. But they tend to teach it anyway.
  • Finally, the results were announced way too late. The university needs a lot of improvements and amendments, just to stay updated so it can be considered among the good colleges.

The preparation for your exam is completely in your control. You can work hard everyday to reach your goal. Solving previous years’ question papers and model papers and a proper concentration on studies will help you to score better marks.

What are the best student organizations or clubs to join at Kurukshetra University Why should students join them?

SR

Studied BCA from Kurukshetra University (2020)

According to my friends studying at Kurukshetra University, they offer various organizations or clubs for the students to join. You choose any club or organization according to your interest.

Dance Club, Drama Club, Music Club, Water Sports Club, Gymnasium, and various other sports offer a great learning platform that gives you a chance to improve and test your potential. Also, there is a Multi Art Cultural (MAC) Center just outside the campus for regular students.

There are some Students Unions that are more of a political nature. You could avoid them because they don't have any significance at all as there are no elections in the university.

The university staff contains rich knowledge but they are not cooperative enough. They tend to only teach the things that will be part of the examinations. Other than that, if you wish to learn more, you have to do it yourself, through research from the library and the internet.

What is the status of Kurukshetra University at present?

SM

B.A Education Abroad & Australia Student Visa, Kurukshetra University (2018)

I have a few friends who graduated from Kurukshetra University. According to them, it entirely depends on the course you are choosing.

  • If you are talking about courses such as B.Tech, MCA, MBA then Kurukshetra University is not a good option. Whether you will pass or fail entirely depends on the copy checker. The passing percentage is around 15-20% for 1500 students approximately.
  • Despite being one of the biggest universities in Haryana, most of the work here is done manually from work related to result or maintaining files. There are no updates by computers at all.
  • Although the institute recently got NAAC A+ accreditation, the situation still remains the same.

However, if you are considering doing B.Ed or M.Ed from the institute then it is a decent option. Especially if you can’t afford DU or PU.

How is Kurukshetra University for MSc in chemistry?

SR
Srinjini Roy Posted On : October 20th, 2021
studied Computer Science at Kurukshetra University (2017)

I have a friend who completed his M.Sc in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University. He advises against joining the institute. According to him, it’s better to prefer a central university or an IIT for your M.Sc degree.

Only the Organic Chemistry department is good. The other departments of Chemistry are not that great. The research culture is also not that effective. Only the first year of your M.Sc degree will be worth it. The final year is more like a formality at Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry department.
