I have a friend who scored a rank of 1536 in KIITEE and chose CSE in KIIT while another who got a rank of 4158 in WBJEE and went got IEM ECE.

What I mean is that the institute does not matter but it’s your capability and skills that determine your success rate. I find judging colleges based on placements very silly. 

So, if your ultimate goal is BTech only then take any one between IEM and KIIT depending on your financial background but if you are planning to pursue higher education, IEM will help you save money that can later be used for higher studies. 

If you are considering options for studying at an IIIT in India, it's important to evaluate various factors before making a decision. Here are some affirmative statements in the second person to help you understand the differences between IIIT Una and IIIT Sonepat:

IIIT Una:

• IIIT Una has a dedicated placement cell that facilitates campus placements for students in leading companies in India and abroad. The institute has an impressive placement record, and students receive attractive salary packages from top recruiters.

IIIT Sonepat:

• IIIT Sonepat is located in Haryana and is a relatively new institute established in 2014. The institute has been struggling to establish its presence and reputation in the competitive IIIT ecosystem in India.
• IIIT Sonepat currently operates from a temporary campus, but it is expected to get its own building in 2019. However, this transition may disrupt the academic and placement activities of the institute for a few years.
• IIIT Sonepat offers undergraduate programs in computer science and engineering, and electronics and communication engineering. The curriculum is relatively conventional and lacks exposure to emerging technologies and interdisciplinary subjects.

On the other hand, if you are willing to take some risks and challenges and want to contribute to the growth and development of a new institute, IIIT Sonepat can be a viable option.

As a student of COE branch at NIT Kurukshetra, I will tell you about its advantages-

1. The placement scenario is very good. For 2023 placements, 89.89% students from COE were placed. The median package stood at INR 18.50 LPA.
2. Cities like Delhi and Chandigarh are just 2-3 hours away from Kurukshetra. So you can access good GATE and CAT coaching centers.
3. The COE syllabus is updated and improved.
4. As per the 2023 Engineering rankings, NIT Kurukshetra stands at 58th position while NIT Bhopal stands at 80th position. 

But in the end, I suggest you also consult some students from NIT Bhopal. Try to make an informed choice based on all the information you receive from various sources.

I am a student at IIIT Allahabad. Here are a few parameters to compare these two options-

• Curriculum- The IT curriculum at IIIT Allahabad is better than the CSE curriculum at MNNIT.

• Study Environment- IIITA offers the best environment for studies. Its students are top coders at platforms like CodeChef, HackerEarth and HackerRank. Students of IIITA start working on projects from their 2nd year itself.

• Placements- IIITA offers better placements than MNNIT. Top brands like Google visit the IIIT campus every year to recruit students. 

MNNIT is a good college, but IIIT Allahabad offers top notch facilities and opportunities. I would recommend you choose IT at IIIT Allahabad over CSE at MNNIT.
