You should choose Acharya Institute of Technology ISE. It is the best engineering college in Bangalore. It offers good academics and extra-curricular. The ISE department has a brilliant faculty base. For ISE, Acharya Institute of Technology placements are pretty good. Students receive an average CTC of around INR 11 LPA - 12 LPA. Many core companies visit the campus placements. ISE students usually get recruited as coders, analysts, testers, data scientists, etc.
As the question is specific about the CSE branch, Acharya Institute of Technology ( AIT ) would be a better option compared to CMR University in regard to placements. AIT was established a lot earlier than CMR University and functions as an autonomous body, while AIT is affiliated to VTU and ACITE norms.
Affiliation:
Being a newly established and Autonomous institute CMR wouldn’t compete against AIT when it comes to placements and campus opportunities.
AIT is not the only college with VTU affiliation, but also the Dayanand Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSTAM). What makes DSTAM standout among these three is the number of placements it offers each year. With consistent placement records ever since its establishment, DSTAM has grown a lot during the past few years in terms of its reputation.
Admission:
To be eligible for admission to Acharya Institute of Technology, one must appear in CET conducted by the Institute. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.
Dayanand Sagar also conducts a Common Entrance Test for admission in B.E. programs. Students must have obtained at least 45% marks in their intermediate examination with PCM.
Placements:
The average package of AIT would hover around 3.2 LPA where DSTAM would go up to 3.5- 4 LPA.
Many top IT companies and few product-based software companies visit the DSTAM campus for recruitments each year.
Pre-final year students of the colleges receive a lot of support from Alumni network inform of internship and job offers in their startups.
Fee Structure:
Speaking of affordability both CMR and DSTAM cots much less than AIT, the former being just around 1 lakh per year, and the later is nearly 3 lakh per year.
The fee need to be paid for AIT for the four-year degree is almost 12 lakhs.
We can say that both AIT and DSTAM would be good and compelling options to opt for when looking for computer science admission. To add further the campus of DSTAM is right in the heart of the city.
So, to conclude if placements are of high priority ( which of course should be for CSE ), then Dayanand Sagar is a clear choice, but if the fee structure doesn’t match your comfort then AIT should be the immediate choice.
NMAMIT Mangalore and Acharya Institute of Technology have a placement rate of 80%-95% and admit students on the basis of merit of COMED-K and KCET scores. At NMAMIT, 592 selections and 52 internships took place by 74 companies in 2019-20. On the other hand, Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore placed 611 students from the undergraduate programs and 186 students from the postgraduate programs in 2019.

AIT provides an excellent academic environment for the students to achieve the highest standards of technical education and meaningful research in the field of Engineering. It also provides decent placement opportunities to the students of Automobile Engineering.
Acharya Institute of Technology, located in Bangalore, is known for its good placement record. The institute has a dedicated placement cell that works towards providing placement opportunities to its students. The placement cell works in collaboration with various companies and industries to organize recruitment drives, job fairs, and internships for the students.
Over the years, many reputed companies such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, IBM, Cognizant, Amazon, and many others have visited the campus for recruitment. The institute offers placements to students from various disciplines, including engineering, management, and computer applications.
The placement record of Acharya Institute of Technology has been consistently good, with around 80-90% of the students being placed every year. The highest salary package offered to a student in recent years was around 40 LPA, while the average salary package offered is around 4-6 LPA.
The institute also offers training and skill development programs to enhance the employability of the students. In addition, the institute has a strong alumni network, and many of the alumni are currently working in reputed companies, which helps in facilitating better placement opportunities for the current students.
In conclusion, Acharya Institute of Technology has a good placement record, and the institute provides ample opportunities for its students to secure good job placements.
Usually, finding a job in a core company right from the campus itself takes a lot of effort, time, and skill. Along with these, there should be some help from the college itself, like MOUs with specific industries and skill development programs for the industry readiness of the student.
If all these things go in your favor then landing in a core company isn’t too difficult as it seems. But in reality, there are not many colleges that provide such opportunities. And for a branch like mechatronics, it’s quite difficult to find a college good in placements in that branch.
Speaking of Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT) here, it’s no different. Campus placements do happen but not specific to the Mechatronics branch. The companies which usually visit campus are mass recruiters, IT service-based companies, and Marketing and sales companies. A student who has pursed Mechatronics with a lot of aspiration to work in Core Company wouldn’t like to get into an IT of marketing-related jobs.
Keeping these things in mind, it’s good to tell that, there are no Mechatronics related placements at AIT. But if one is determined enough, he/she can always look for an internship in Core Company and later convert it into a full-time opportunity. The standard of education at AIT will make sure that you have specific skills that will land you in a job sooner or later
It is not absolutely right but I have heard about the college from my peers. I recommend you make Acharya Institute of Technology your secondary alternative.
You can take one of these CS, IT, EEE, or Mechatronics courses if you choose to enter Acharya. These departments are considered better than the others.
Acharya Institute of Technology is famous because of its outstanding facilities and fantastic location. It depends on various divisions if you look at the university site. One of my friends studied ITE, and I don't feel like they had talented lecturers like CS & IS where knowledge was exemplary.
The overall level of education in other departments such as Mechanical, E&E, BT, and Mechatronics are good. If you see the university fees arrangement and the hostel, it is inviting compared to the others.
Yes, there is a 100% chance, you'll get CSE at the Acharya Technology Institute with 18K in COMEDK.
However, there are some other universities that are worth more than Acharya IT that is also available.
These are the colleges in COMEDK that are below 20k and over 10k.
If you are a Karnataka resident, you may get the right college for whatever divisions you choose to graduate. But you might find it a little tougher to get a college during the first round of counseling if you are from outside Karnataka.
