One of my friends studied at HBTU Kanpur so I can give you the review of the chemical entering branch at HBTU.
HBTU Kanpur Chemical engineering branch has a good reputation and is a well-known branch in HBTU. Its department is also better than other engineering colleges of India.
The placement of the Chemical Engineering branch of HBTU is decent. There are other departments too in the chemical engineering branch such as OT, Food, PL, PT, etc, that have similar placements and hold a good record in placing students in reputed companies.
What should I choose between IIIT Bhopal, HBTU Kanpur, or IET Lucknow all in the CSE branch?
Having friends in these institutions, I am well aware that HBTU Kanpur is much better than IIIT Bhopal and IET Lucknow. Though one thing has been seen that the performance of the CSE department is generally the same in all the colleges. They all provide enough industry exposure to the students.

It is advised to join HBTU Kanpur or IET Lucknow than IIIT Bhopal, as the former are an older establishment than the latter which is comparatively new. Classes at IIIT Bhopal are scheduled according to MANIT Bhopal. Also the students are provided RGPV hostels. So it will be better if you go for HBTU.
Which is better, HBTU Kanpur or IIIT Pune?
One of my cousins used to be a student of Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur. He mentioned that the college has completed 100 years in the year 2020. Let me share some facts about the colleges which I gathered while researching them.
- The alumni base of HBTU is very good and there are students who have graduated from the university.
- In terms of placements, a lot of the branches of HBTU Kanpur boast 100% placement.
- Many MNCs that are highly reputed visit the campus every year for the purpose of hiring students.
- On the other hand, IIIT Pune is a newly established institute and so far only the batch of 2020 has graduated from the institute.
- The mentor institute of IIIT Pune is the College of Engineering Pune.

After careful consideration, it is suggested you go for HBTU Kanpur rather than opting for IIIT Pune. Being an older establishment, it possesses the educational experience and popularity among well-known firms and companies.
Is the Manipal University in Jaipur better than the HBTI Kanpur?
If you’re comparing the Manipal University in Jaipur and the HBTI Kanpur, you should not because both are held to different standards.
HBTI is the most prestigious UPTU college, ranking first in Uttar Pradesh. It belongs to a different class. Everything from placement to studies. Companies that come to IIT KANPUR for placements also come to HBTI, making it possible for HBTI students to get an IIT-level placement. Not exactly the same, but close.
Coming to JAIPUR MANIPAL, it is recommended that you only go if you have a lot of money.
If you want beautiful infrastructure, hotel-style hostel services, and a highly technical and excellent campus, this is the place to be! However, HBTI's placements will always be superior.

The fees of HBTI Kanpur are lower than NIT Durgapur for the CSE course. However, from the placement perspective, NIT Durgapur is better. Most of the companies hire students from NIT’s and IIT’s; hence there is an advantage of pursuing CSE from NIT Durgapur. NIT Durgapur has alumni working in top MNCs like Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc. Also, the NIT brand name has more value and offers many opportunities.
Which is better among IIEST Shibpur and HBTU Kanpur?
IIEST scores more than HBTU Kanpur according to the parameters mentioned below. Both colleges have a rich endowment. But, IIEST stands separately for spreading the entire IIT structure in India. IIEST has a more vibrant and strong Alumni base, but few institutes of India also rival it.

Both the colleges accept a creamy layer of students with respective state exams and top-notch performers in their respective States. Both colleges have failed in doing so in recent years. The identity crisis could be partly blamed, but even academically it has failed in overriding top NIT and other colleges.
Which is better, HBTU Kanpur or BIET Jhansi?
HBTU Kanpur is better than BIET Jhansi. It has an excellent faculty base. The student crowd is better. HBTU Kanpur placements are great. Many reputed companies such as ITC, HSBC, Berger Paints, Dabur, Bharat Petroleum, etc. take part in the campus drive. During the 2021 placement drive, the highest and average CTC offered were INR 43.5 LPA and INR 6.46 LPA.
Which is better: IT or chemical engineering at HBTI, Kanpur, or CS (or any other branch) at IET, Lucknow or BIET, Jhansi or KNIT, Sultanpur?
Having friends from IET and studying at BIET, I have enough knowledge about both the institutions. So, my suggestion will be HBTI. It will be a better choice than the others. But before selecting any college you must first learn about each college and its branches.

IT or Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University or HBTI will be a better option than other colleges. HBTI is one of the oldest engineering institutes that offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs. The placement cell of HBIT is also good. Therefore, you can choose the HBTI for IT or Chemical Engineering. You can choose either branch in the field as per your interest and in the sector, you want to pursue your career.
