Yes, GIM, FORE, KJ Somaiya & SIBM-Bangalore all these B Schools enjoy 100% placement percentages. Speaking about figures, the highest and average packages of the mentioned colleges have been tabulated below.

College

Average Package

Highest package

GIM

INR 12.1 LPA

INR 30.2 LPA

FORE

INR 14.04 LPA

INR 41 LPA

KJ Somaiya

INR 10.98 LPA

INR 26.50 LPA

SIBM Bangalore

INR 10.60 LPA

INR 32 LPA

More than figures, the deciding factors for your choice of college should be your interest, strengths, area of specialization and most importantly why you are pursuing an MBA.

My friend is a pass out of SIMS. According to her, some features of SIMS are

  • the majority of the batch gets placed well in the 1st half of the academic year itself.
  • use of technological advancements in our day-to-day classroom life
  • qualified and knowledgeable faculty
  • Diverse crowd
  • Strong alumni base

All these features make SIMR one of the best B Schools of India.

Which is better as per placements and quality of education: GIM, SIIB, Fore IB, or KJ Somaiya?

KJ

Although all the B Schools you mentioned are very good, the one I would personally recommend is FORE. Some points that favor my recommendation are

  • Location-based crowd: All the other colleges you mentioned have students mainly from Mumbai. But FORE located in New Delhi, the heart of the country has students from all over India.
  • Placement: Here’s a tabular comparison of the average and highest CTC of the colleges.

College

Average Package

Highest package

GIM

INR 12.1 LPA

INR 30.2 LPA

FORE

INR 14.04 LPA

INR 41 LPA

KJ Somaiya

INR 10.98 LPA

INR 26.50 LPA

SIBM Bangalore

INR 10.60 LPA

INR 32 LPA

  • Fees:

GIM: ?18,31,200

FORE: Rs.16,98,000

KJ Somaiya: ?9.59 Lakhs (one year)

SIBM: INR 3.53 L - 16.62 L(for 2-3 years)

FORE offers industry oriented certifications and International Immersion Program. So looking at the overall picture we can say all 4 colleges give each other tough competition but FORE takes the lead.

AP
Arpita Pal Posted On : July 19th, 2021
Studied at FORE School of Management (2019)

No, the FORE School of Management does not consider any kind of sectional cut-offs for entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, or GMAT. The points below give a brief overview of the process of evaluation in the FORE School of Management.

  • In FORE School of Management, several aspects are evaluated along with the entrance test score, during the initial selection process.
  • The past academic records, experience, educational background, cultural diversity (without any interference of gender), and skillsets are evaluated as some of the prime aspects.
  • In FORE School of Management, the weightage given to each and every section for admission is as follows:

CAT/ XAT/ GMAT Score

35%

Academic Records

15%

Work Experience

10%

Written Ability Test

10%

Business Awareness Quiz

5%

Personal Interview

20%

Extempore

5%

The admission committee of FORE also keeps an eye on the skill-sets. It is to ensure that you are trained as per the qualities that the present industrial standards demand.

The FORE School of Management has increased its batch strength to 300. Is it worth joining this college? What are your views regarding placements and ROI?

RG

One of my cousins is from the 2016-18 batch and during her batch, the strength was around 190 to 200. At present, it can be 200 to 300 easily.

When it comes to placements, I can confidently state that the figures on the FORE website are right. Placement in FORE is dominated by marketing, IT, and consulting positions. It outperforms IMI as far as ROI is concerned.

Check a brief insight on placements in the table below:

Top recruiters

Asian Paints, Nestle, Hindustan, Bacardi, TATA Motors, Hero, Whirlpool, HDFC, etc

Placement rate

97%

Average salary package

10.6 LPA

Highest salary package

30 LPA

In the end, it is up to you to decide whether or not you should join FORE. I would not recommend you to quit your job and study hard for the CAT if you want to get into tier 1 or 2 institutions. Give yourself some time to think properly about what you want or where you want to go and then decide something.

Is there anyone who remains unplaced from old IIM, XLRI, FMS Delhi, and NITIE? Is it possible to be?

HR
Hira Ramchandani Posted On : January 9th, 2023
MBA in Human Resources & Strategy, Xavier School of Management (Graduated 2011)

Top B-Schools have created an Invincible persona and have successfully marketed it over the years; however, there is now a demand-supply mismatch, with seats at all B-Schools almost doubling or tripling in the last decade, and a slew of new IIMs or branches of top colleges such as MDI Murshidabad, IIFT Kolkata, NITIE, FMS Delhi, and XLRI Delhi. The colleges will suffer as a result of the lack of job offers from top companies. The only increase can be attributed to recently funded startups that have started hiring from these colleges by offering outrageous packages.

There are students who are unable to be placed during the normal Summers / Finals process, but these colleges use their star alumni base to place the remaining 5-8 students in companies cofounded by the alums or through alums who have been placed in top positions in traditional corporates.

How is the course from fore school of management of Big data and data analytic?

AC
Aritra Chatterjee Posted On : July 31st, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2019)

FORE School of Management is among the top institutes of India. It is better than others in all the domains including ROI, infrastructure, practical exposure, etc. It is beneficial as it provides international exposure as well. One of my cousins studied there, and here are some of the facts I gathered from him.

  • For Big Data and Data Analytics Specialization, the FORE School of Management is in collaboration with the World's most reputed and the top-ranked University, The University of California. It is ranked 121 all over the World.
  • The domain of Big Data and Data Analytics includes Managers, Research Scholars, Marketing Professionals, Decision Makers, etc.
  • The understanding of procedures and their working and usage are simple and easy to understand. But the inner workings are complex.

The customer behavior is used to cater to the business needs used by the business managers to form a marketing strategy. The course is Project Oriented. All the projects given have to be made using the industry's real data.

Nearbuy recruits at 7 MBA programmes nationwide. They hire product and project managers from Tier - 1 schools, and sales, marketing, and operations managers from other colleges. They recruit from over twenty business schools in total nationwide despite visiting only seven. But those students apply for the jobs off-campus and may have to interview in the company's offices if they are chosen.

Which is the best for an MBA out of Fore School of Management, Delhi and IBS, Hyderabad?

DM
Debapriyo Mandal Posted On : February 16th, 2023
Lives in Hyderabad, Telangana, India (2015-present)

FORE School of Management is definitely the better choice than IBS Hyderabad. It is better in almost all aspects when compared to IBS Hyderabad. The table below has drawn a slight comparison on the basis of some basic factors

Parameters

FORE Management

IBS Hyderabad

Batch size

394

1100

Fees

?16.98 L

?5.25 L - 16.02 L

Average CTC

INR 14.5 LPA

INR 8.71 LPA

Ranking

60 (NIRF Management)

19 (NIRF Ranking)

From the above table we can infer the following points

  • The batch-size of FORE is much less than that of IBS Hyderabad thereby increasing the quality of education and placement opportunities
  • The average CTC of FORE Management is also higher than that of IBS Hyderabad
  • The fees is almost similar of both the schools and when compared to the average package, FORE has a better ROI than IBS Hyderabad
  • IBS Hyderabad has better rankings than FORE, but this stems from the fact that it is the oldest B school.

An additional feature of FORE that sets it further apart from IBS Hyderabad is its International Immersion Program. This program offers the kind of exposure you cannot even get at a reputed B School like IBS. You get exposed to the Global corporate world and the best part is that its fees are included in the course fees. So considering all the points mentioned above I conclude that FORE is a far better choice than IBS Hyderabad for MBA.

Are colleges like LBSIM/FORE better than? IIM Nagpur, Sambalpur, Sirmaur, and Jammu?

AS
Anurag Sharma Posted On : January 17th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur

Top B Schools like LBSIM/FORE are incomparable to the new IIMs. They have been established for decades and the new IIMs cannot be included in them at least in the near future. Although some might say that some new IIMs are under the mentorship of old IIMs like Lucknow, they haven’t made the mark yet. Whereas the already leading B Schools LMSIM and FORE are on the verge of making it to the top. Even the IIM tag is of little value here.

Let me explain this through an example. You go to buy an electronic device and purchase a branded device. Yet the model is a very old one. It is of little value despite being branded. Same is the case here. The new IIMs do give you the IIM tag but it is of little worth.
