Based on my research, I will present some points to support the opinion that I will put by the end of my answer-
IIIT Bangalore is a better choice for an M.Tech CS, based on curriculum, placements, etc. But as far as UG studies are concerned, B.Tech CS at IIIT Delhi is better than iM.Tech CS at IIIT Bangalore.
I am assuming you mean this for its UG programs. IIIT Bangalore is highly renowned for its PG degrees.
The institute is popular among academia and industry. However, it isn’t popular among students who are fresh out of school. This is because its UG courses aren’t that old. However, many students still opt for IIITB because of the huge potential of its undergraduate programs.
In practice, IIITB has a lot to offer. Students begin appreciating it upon experiencing the campus culture up close. It offers top notch faculty, curriculum, peers, labs and industry connections. CSE/ECE students get ample opportunities and facilities for their all-round development. Its integrated courses are performing well and making a mark with each passing year. You may check the placement records of the college.
IIIT Bangalore is a strong competitor in PG studies, and making steady progress with its integrated programs as well.
I completed my M.Tech CSE from IIIT Bangalore some years ago. This makes me eligible to answer your query.
Here are some reasons why this degree is more beneficial for your career than simply switching jobs-
Thus, I would recommend you consider an M.Tech CSE from IIITB instead of relying on a job switch.
IIIT Bangalore and IIIT Hyderabad are top institutions.
IIIT Hyderabad competes with the top IITs. The coding culture over there is top notch and the competitive spirit among peers makes you work very hard. The faculty is hardworking and inspires students to become good professionals. Students are encouraged to create their own successful startups like SETU,Crypsis, Synovel etc. IIIT H intakes students purely on merit basis, there is no provision of reservation during admissions.
Sir P.J. Narayanan, the professor and current Director of IIIT Hyderabad is known for his work in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, and Parallel Computing on the GPU. You will learn a lot under his guidance.
IIIT Bangalore has a great coding culture and is known for its academics. Its students participate in the ACM-ICPC finals.
Both IIIT Hyderabad and IIIT Bangalore are really good institutions, and you should apply to both so that you get the opportunity to study in either of them.
IIIT Bangalore does not offer any UF program and this translates to poor reputation. The majority of the student community and major recruiters are unaware of the college's existence. However, it offers a unique integrated course which is one of its kind graduate courses.
The uniqueness lies in the fact that the M.Tech course offered by IIIT Bangalore is majorly industry oriented in contrast to the research-focused curricula in other top institutions. This is also the reason why many major IT companies visit the college for campus placements and students get placed better than most of the IITs. It’s likely to become better in the future with its increasing demand and reputation and will stand at par with IITs.
So grab the seat while you can!
We need to consider a number of factors before choosing one college from DTU, NSUT, IIIT Delhi, IIT Bangalore, IIIT Allahabad, and NITs.
Overall, the best option for you is IIIT Delhi considering the above aspects.

So, unless you have any financial constraints, IIIT Bangalore is a much better choice than IIIT Gwalior.
One of my friends was a part of the first IMTech batch of IIIT Bangalore. As per the information I provided from him, the placement scenario at IIIT Bangalore initially was very poor mainly because the first batch of iMtech students neither had prior interview exposure nor any work experience. However, with the guidance of excellent faculty, this situation
The situation improved for the better and almost 90% of the first batch got internship offers from top-notch companies. In fact, many students have already been offered PPOs during placements.
The campus was visited by many IT giants and funded start-ups that preferred Mtech students specifically. The excellent placement scenario can further be gauged by the fact that a few students had also received extended overseas internships and full-time offers as freshers.
So, the placements for the first batch at IIIT Bangalore were at par with IITs and NITs.
Whether IIIT Bangalore should be preferred over NITs depends on many aspects like which NITs you are referring to and the course you are targeting. My sister was a student at IIIT Bangalore and shared her experience of the same. She had joined the MTech course although she had no coding knowledge or background.
Sharing her experience she claimed that thanks to the well-structured curriculum of the MTech course and the highly experienced professors, her journey was quite smooth. The first year brings everyone from diverse backgrounds on the same page and after the first semester, it all depends on your interest.
Students get placed excellently as long as you have a certain lower cut off. By the end of the course, everyone gets placed decently and there are many big firms that visit for placements. Even if you are from a non-coding background, the college will guide you in every step.
However, you will have to consider other options if you are looking for a BTech course. Coming to your question, IIIT Bangalore can be compared to the top 3 NITs for M.Tech in CS/IT courses only. So, choose IIIT Bangalore if you are getting lower NITs.
