The eligible students are selected for the Executive MBA programs based on the following parameters
Written Test
Duration: 1-hour
Total Questions: 70 questions
Total Marks: 35 marks
Level of difficulty: Medium to High
Questions are usually related to General Knowledge, Business Knowledge (Current affairs from Business news), Maths, English and Logical Ability. The main topics covered are
Quant (15 questions)
This section comprises questions based on speed, distance, relative speed, trigonometry, geometry, and simple equations. work to man hours effort
LR
This section has a conclusion-based, inference, and chooses the best answer out of all.
English
This is the easiest section with just correcting grammatical sentences.
General Awareness
This is the most challenging section and needs proper prior preparation.
My friend has a welding certificate and an ASS in CADD / Manufacturing Technology. For the entrance exam, he told me to work on my math, welding symbols, basic physics, Metallurgy facts, Statics and Strength of material, and basic electrical.
Some other important topics to cover for the entrance exam are
The BJMC entrance exam at MSU is of 100 marks. It’s mainly based on
The Paper is divided into 2 sections
Section 1: It carries 60 marks and is subjective in nature. You may get internal choices.
Section 2: It carries 40 marks and is objective in nature with some options.
Some tips to prepare well for this entrance exam are
Most of the questions asked will be covered from these areas so follow these tips and you are likely to pass the entrance test.
Firstly you need to change your aim. Rather than scoring good marks, your aim should be to acquire a better understanding of the concepts. This will help you in the long run. Follow these tips that will guide you on how to attempt 16 marks questions in Anna University exams:
Don’t extend the 16 marks answers to more than 5 pages.
Attend the question you are most well versed in first. Then keep moving in descending order.
Neat and tidy presentation never goes unnoticed. Use black ink for headings and blue for other parts.
Assign a time limit to each answer (30 minutes per answer). This will give you proper time to write every answer.
Adding pencil-made sketches will fetch you extra marks.
Pro tip: Don’t write irrelevant information on your 2 marks answers. The examiner will assume you did the same for the 16 marks questions.

Other facts about this test are as follows:
All questions are MCQs with 4 choices per question
No negative marking for unattempted questions
Calculators, gadgets, graph sheets, etc. are not allowed.
PGDBA 2022 is similar to any other management entrance I.e CAT, XAT, NMAT, etc with one major difference: the inclusion of Higher Mathematics in the Quantitative Skills section.
The PGDBA program offers a rare opportunity for students to get a blend of academic patterns from 3 institutes (IIT, ISI, and IIM).
Test pattern: 3 hours and 50 questions
Marking scheme: 3 marks for every question, negative marking (-1)
Syllabus:
VERBAL ABILITY: Reading & Comprehension; Grammar/correction of sentences.
LOGICAL REASONING: Logical connectives, Statements and Conclusions, Matching and sequences.
DATA INTERPRETATION AND DATA VISUALIZATION: Data driven questions (pie charts, graphs, trends).
QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE: Sets, combinatorics, Algebra (solutions of quadratic equations, inequalities, simultaneous linear equations, binomial theorem, series, AP, GP, HP, matrices), Euclidean geometry, Coordinate geometry (lines, circles, conic sections), Trigonometry (triangles, trigonometric identities, heights, and distances), Calculus (functions, limits, continuity, derivative, maxima & minima, methods of integration, evaluation of areas using integration).
The level of difficulty of these questions is that of class 12th.
IIM Ahmedabad has set the CAT papers 2 times till now, 2009 and 2015. So I will show you the pattern of the paper both the years.
CAT 2009
Time: 150 mins
Number of Questions: 60
Sections:3(VARC,DILR and QA)
VARC Section(20 questions): Moderate-Difficult
The section included RCs and VA(all the basic topics that students practice while preparing).
DILR Section(20 questions): Moderate
DI(10 questions): DI sets were lengthy and involved tedious calculations. More speed was required and speed maths was a challenging part.
LR(10 questions): Pure logical, had little or no calculations.
QA Sections(20 questions): Easy-Moderate
This section tested all basic concepts and formulas. Solving previous years papers will help you in this section.
If the exam is of 2 hours this pattern might be repeated
CAT 2015
Time: 180 mins
Number of questions: 100
Sections: 3 (VARC,DILR and QA)
VARC (34 questions): 20 questions were easy
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR:32 questions): 17–18 correct was good attempt) This section was the most challenging part of CAT 2015
Quantitative Ability(34 QUESTIONS)
The relative easiness of the Quant section was overshadowed by the tougher section, which preceded QA (ie DILR) and contributed to the fatigue factor. There was huge emphasis on Arithmetics and Geometry and even a non engineer could easily solve it.
If the exam is of 3 hours then this pattern could be repeated.
The NTA publishes the NEET UG qualifying cutoffs. Cutoffs for NEET UG 2022 are lower than those for NEET UG 2021. The MCC will hold four rounds of NEET UG 2022 Counselling. Only NEET-qualified candidates (who meet the cut-offs) can register for NEET UG Counselling 2022 for MBBS admission.
The table that you should follow is:
Category | Qualifying Criteria | Marks Range |
UR / EWS | 50th Percentile | 715 - 117 |
OBC | 40th Percentile | 116 - 93 |
SC | 40th Percentile | 116 - 93 |
ST | 40th Percentile | 116 - 93 |
UR / EWS & PH | 45th Percentile | 116 - 105 |
OBC & PH | 40th Percentile | 104 - 93 |
SC & PH | 40th Percentile | 104 - 93 |
ST & PH | 40th Percentile | 104 - 93 |
Here are two of the major points that are helpful in writing a good answer in the exam for an MA in English:
The answer must start with an excellent introduction to the writer and the text. Then, there should be good content, sticking to the point. The answer must end with an eminent conclusion.
The answer must not be written in a storytelling way. Students are supposed to answer what the question is asking them to explain, the theme, the character, and the point of view attached to the question.
Whatever answer students write, it must be revolving around giving proper reasons, perspectives, and possible central ideas that a question is trying to ask. The answer must not be diverting and stretching, without providing any appropriate conclusion.
If you are a profound student who wants to do something worthwhile after finishing your engineering degree, you must first master the fundamentals. Following that, you must read good books or references on the subject. You can also watch online video lectures on YouTube. You should have good logical thinking and imagination for Engineering Drawing.
You should not rely solely on YouTube; instead, look into other options such as reading books, magazines, and so on. The most important requirement is self-study. Aside from watching YouTube lectures or making Notes & Assignments, you'll need to devote enough time to a specific subject.
Concentrate intently on your desired outcome. You must have a strong command of the English language, excellent communication skills, and software skills in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, and Python.
Aside from that, focus on Aptitude and Reasoning from the start; it will help you in the coming years when you will be facing campus. If you are a civil or mechanical engineering student, you must be proficient in software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, and others.
You simply need to create a clear strategy from the first semester onwards and focus on each of these things, and you will gain the advantages sooner or later.
