Based on the above facts and the conversation I had with some of my friends and colleagues who are pass outs from IIITB and IIITA, I would advise you to choose IIIT Bangalore with closed eyes.
IIIT Bangalore, although approved by AICTE, does not offer any stipend to its MTech students. However, there are a few companies that sponsor students' tuition fees based on merit. This is done either by conducting an exam or by someone based on their previous academic profile. The number of students who can avail of this opportunity is very limited and sometimes there is a clause requiring them to work as an intern or do some projects for the company that offered the scholarship. Students receive a stipend if they are a TA or RA.
Hope this helps you!

There is no ‘better’ college as one college might be better for you but not for someone else and vice versa. Moreover, every college has its own strengths and weaknesses and it depends on you what you are planning to overlook. It’s always advisable to do your own piece of research rather than depending on rumors and online stuff. Jot down the probable pros and cons of the institute
Pros
Ultimately, college matters but not to a great extent. What matters is how much effort you are willing to invest while studying.
IIIT Bangalore is at par with top NITs at least in terms of placement scenario of its MTech CSE course. But the question is, are good placements enough to choose a college? Here are a few factors to consider while choosing between top NITs and IIIT Bangalore.
I feel the primary point of difference between NITs and IIIT Bangalore is that NITs mostly focus on placements at the undergraduate level. IIIT Bangalore's main focus has been providing quality education at the master's and doctorate levels. Still, to answer your question, IIIT Bangalore is better than top NITs in almost all aspects.
It’s true that IIIT Bangalore has an excellent faculty pool and a well-structured curriculum yet struggles to maintain a good image in the student community. This has resulted from many combined factors such as
I hope IIIT Bangalore overcomes these issues and gains the hype it deserves.
There are several companies and startups that have been founded or co-founded by alumni of IIIT Bangalore. Here are some notable ones:
These are just a few examples of the many companies and startups that have been founded or co-founded by IIIT Bangalore alumni.
The difference in the packages is due to the inflated figures released by the institutes. For instance, Microsoft offers 42 LPA packages but the actual in-hand salary is only 13 LPA.
Also, IIIT Bangalore has no core job offers whereas, in IIT Guwahati, you can also explore other domains apart from IT like finance, consulting, analysis, data science, etc. It is exactly why Inthunk placements should never be the criteria to judge the credibility of an institute or program. Rather, we should start considering in-hand averages.
Another possible reason for IIIT Bangalore's better placements is the excellent research-focused culture that provides great knowledge and scope.
CS and EC are very different branches. You need to decide which branch interests you more.
EC is about electronics and how the different electrical components communicate with one another. It involves a lot of Physics. It only involves a little programming. CS, on the other hand, is all about programming. It mainly uses logic and math.
If you are interested in programming, CSAI from IIIT Lucknow is the better choice. AI/ML is in huge demand in the industry as most things will be automated in the future. Placements and coding culture are top-notch at all these colleges. Students from IIIT Lucknow and IIIT Bangalore perform well in competitions like ACM ICPC.
All these colleges are good. You should make your choice based on your field of interest.
